I may be their music and you can listen to them well. But the most recent album is only average for me. It sounds to quickly become familiar and hardly offers variety.
    I want a real firecracker.

Jesse's performance is fantastic and saves this album from a lower score. I was excited by the teaser tracks but for me they're the only highlights of an album that we've simply heard before from KsE.

Despite still occasionally erring towards po-faced earnestness, his [Jesse Leach's] impassioned and fiery performance ensures that Incarnate is a brash reaffirmation of this band’s superiority over their peers.

There's moments of chain-breaking experimentation sewn throughout. It's not going to freak out anyone accustomed to KsE's meat, but it's definitely sharpened and refreshed what they're serving up. [12 Mar 2016, p.50]

As a whole, Incarnate improves on the creativity and restlessness offered by Disarm the Descent. There is a lot more ambition, confidence and above all, passion here.
