____ Psychedelic pop with elements of folk and synthetic lines, which seems to have no time. It sounds pretty fantastic, as if the past, the present and the future crossed and became one. Dreamy, atmospheric melodies, in which the whispering vocals are gently poured Gently.

Le Kov is an absolutely outstanding album, the songs have a wonderful flow to them and the mystery of the melodies is only added to by the Cornish language.

Gwenno is doing important work here, and for those willing to open their minds and step into the mythical land of Le Kov will find that they may not want to leave.

Le Kov is not as cold as Y Dydd Olaf (which was based on a decades-old Welsh sci fi novel)--it’s less machinic and more organic, less 80s and more 70s. As such, it wavers a little, particularly in its second half, where the feel is a little too warmly indistinct, too hazy.

Many great pop artists build imaginary worlds with sets, costumes, music videos and artwork, but Gwenno achieves something similar using a richly detailed soundscapes that gradually draw you in deeper.
