This album features a great duo, Evidence and Chemist working pretty good here. Overall, it will probably be one of the most standout Hip Hop albums of the year. Featuring a bunch of really chill and icy beats and flows, while banging beats and subdued instrumentals that bring heat to polarize them. Quite a bit to enjoy here.

The production was very enjoyable and high-quality. The lyrics were pedestrian, however, and The Alchemist and Evidence clearly didn't even try to be creative with the entire concept. ~ 6.3/10

Best track: "Dr. Kimble": The production was dope, and the lyrics were above-average for this album.

This album may not bring anything new to the table, however it is a very enjoyable album with dope production and rapping. All the features did their thing and it was a good album. Very good start to 2014

It all gives the sense of a fun, messy but inspired recording session conducted in a fug of weed smoke.

Lord Steppington simultaneously engages the grey matter while snapping at the neck muscles. [Apr 2014, p.93]

Lord Steppington is worth a listen for the production alone if you’re a fan of boom bap hip-hop. It’s just a shame because this could’ve been so much more if more of the focus went into writing.
