  1. A simple, straight-ahead match of excellent MC with great producers.
  2. Love and Hate sounds fantastic, alternately steeped in warm, old school funk and terse, bubbly electroclash.

While Acey's rhymes are consistently top-notch, the soundcraft here goes astray at times. [Aug 2003, p.154]
  4. As he tries to return to the ponderous themes of such vague nonsense as love and hate, Acey weighs the pacing of the game considerably.
  5. The Wire

Sadly few of his spiels impress solely on the strength of their content. [#235, p.55]

Educational and motivational. [Jul 2003, p.126]

The beats--never a selling point for Acey's albums--don't have the verve to lift leaden lines. [13 Jun 2003, p.96]
  8. It's nice to see him seek stronger production; beatmeisters like RJD2 and Joey Chavez provide supple soundscapes for the Ace Man to rock over. But ol' reliable Acey kinda forgot what makes him one of the essential MCs of the last decade: ridiculous wordplay.
  9. Urb

Just feels stiff and over-produced. [Aug 2003, p.88]

A consistent part of my everyday life. For over 16 years this album was there. The saga definitely continues and music is my sweet refuge.
