    I really liked it! It feels like she turned Everything back but you into an album and I couldn't have asked for anything better. She said she wanted ''raw and live'' guitar and drums and that's what she delivered, she knows the genre and it shows.
    I've to say some lyrics aren't clicking, but it's a fast and fun album so it's no big deal.

    Absolute banger. Avril Lavigne is back to get that crown rightfully hers as the undisputed Pop-Punk Queen. You will feel all kinds of emotions in this album. It's cohesive, yet a wild rollercoaster ride. Album of the Year.

    The most consistent Avril Lavigne album since The Best Damn Thing. Love Sux is what Avril knows how to do best when she has a supportive recording label: pop-punk, but make it 2022 pop-punk.

    This is perfect!!! Welcome back to business, Avril

    The album brought back what we needed from Avril. Real band, rock anthem and attitude. It is different from her first 3 albums, but the essence is the same, that we love. Attitude, aggressive songs.

    A just think that the album is short, definitely needs a deluxe version!

    It’s the best album since “the best damn thing”. Pure pop punk from front to back. She still rocks after all. Pop punk queen. Best songs: avalanche, love sux, bite me, cannonball and F.U.

    This album gave the fans EXACTLY WHAT THEY WANTED.

    Screaming,a lot of sass,slow sad songs,energy starting the album and finishing it,a little bit of anger in Déjà Vu and finally PUNK ROCK.

    Lyrically the album is not bad and fits its theme,
    gave fans EVERYTHING they asked for.

    Um dos melhores álbuns. Avril fez um ótimo trabalho. Todas as músicas produzidas por John Feldmann que eu já escutei são ótimas e ele fez um ótimo trabalho na produção de Love Sux. A gravadora creio que ajudou muito incentivando Avril a seguir seu coração e não o que achavam que iria ser "hit". Estou muito animada e feliz por mais um álbum icônico da rainha do pop rock.

    It's actually a total renewal if you take into account all of her albums; it's a really powerful album, the upbeat, but also with a message of overcoming everything that ever put you through a rough time and end off that chapter. It's nostalgic of course, but it's also refreshing and kept in tune with the current tendency concerned about the pop-punk comeback.     I really loved this album. It feels so nostalgic with a modern pop-punk sound. Her vocals match the production and I think production is excellent. Her one of the best albums in my opinion.

    It's not an album that takes you back in time and makes you think you're in a teen movie from the 00's, it's energetic, lively, modern, with sharp instrumentals, which delivers the singer's version in powerful and well-used vocals. The voice is a little thin in the mix, I believe it will be even better live. Avril delivered what she promised.

    Tough production. Hard riffs. The album is a new style of pop-punk, and has the soul of pure pop-punk like in the 90s & early to mid-2000s. Avril's voice has evolved. I can line it up along with Let Go - UMS - TBDT. Travis Barker playing on the drums giving you an energetic feeling that serves your album experience in a superior way.

    No, it's not deep or profound, and at times it's hard to believe that this is all coming from the mind of a 37-year-old woman. But to nostalgic fans such as myself, this is easily her best album since The Best Damn Thing and I absolutely LOVE IT. Expect teenage fun and you will not be disappointed. Cannot wait for the next one!

    This album genuinely disappointed me. I've been a huge Avril Lavigne fan since the beginning, and this is the first album that I dislike the majority of the songs. Almost all the instrumentals sound the same between songs, and many of them are too short to really sink your teeth into before it's over. I do like Love It When You Hate Me (would be better if it reached 3 minutes), AvalancheThis album genuinely disappointed me. After a horrible opener and two horrific features, Avril gives us basic Let Go scrapped tracks for 40 minutes. After a horrible opener and two horrific features, Avril gives us basic Let Go scrapped tracks for 40 minutes. There are some decent songs, sure, after all, I am giving it a 5. After my high expectations and love for the lead single "Bite Me", I am sad. I am all for a pop-punk, emo-type revival in music, so long as the musicians are executing it well and making great music. The only modern one I listen to is Willow, which even after that horrendous "Emo Girl" song, she seems to be faltering. I hope Avril can re-evaluate and show more growth for her next LP. I seem to be alone in my opinions, considering this is the highest user score of the year thus far, I guess people love mediocrity.… Expand

    I’m sure this album is supposed to be a fun album and is a chance for Avril to relive her youth but her first three albums aren’t even pop punk as much as we remember. The only real pop punk songs she has is sk8er boi and girlfriend and the rest are soft rock ballads. I think the label of avril ‘reliving her roots’ is just a chance of hoping on the tiktok pop punk craze to get a trend

    Lyrics are terrible and so rushed, but it sounds too catchy and good. Love Sux can be a bit similar to one another at times and a little too short for 12 songs, but it certainly is a return-to-form of some sorts for the "Compilated" singer.

    É um bom álbum sim, não é melhor que os 3 primeiros e muito menos que seu antecessor, mas Avril vocalmente volta impecável.
    Neste álbum temos a volta do Pop-punk que tornou a Avril tão conhecida e prestigiada, porém as faixas são muito superficiais e extremamente curtas em relação ao que nós nos acostumamos a ver da AL.

    Even if Lavigne intended to make something short and silly, it speaks to a larger mainstream conversation of the supposed limits surrounding women’s ability to remain interesting in pop culture. Love might indeed suck, but we know that Avril is capable of so much more.

    The uncharitable take would be that a 37-year-old still writing lyrics in txt spk is quite cringe, but the truth is that Love Sux – three-minute banger after three-minute banger, complete with classic Lavigne “woah-oh-ohs” – is exuberant enough to have you slipping on a pair of Vans and partying like it’s 2002.

    Across the board, Lavigne sounds like she’s having good, real fun for the first time in ages. If the album is following a major pop-punk trend in pop music, it also serves as a reminder that Lavigne helped shape so much of that sound in the first place.
