Meh, I actually listened to this album after listening to zayn's new one because I was impressed by that kid so just tried to check out if I was missing on these 4 guys as well but its safe to say Mr. Malik is the most talented of the group. This album is bland..not totally horrible..i liked "Walking in the wind" and that one beatles esque song and Drag Me Down is catchy but thats it. Yeah these guys can sing but their music doesn't seem to improve with time. They should just break up already. Its about time. Expand

This album got me really disappointed, even I knew that Zayn Malik's absence will damage the album sonority, I was expecting more. The singles never had been so bad. The vocals , the compositions, everything is sounding stranger to me.

One Direction gives their best effort with this album. It gives the sound typical to One Direction, the same one that's come since their first album. These men should have evolved heavily over these years, and yet their music stays the same. This is typical of an album with heavy outside influence, and it's obvious that their label is trying to appeal to a certain crowd. But OneOne Direction gives their best effort with this album. But One Direction's real fans want to hear their real sound, and unfortunately, even though the album is solid, it seems like we just aren't getting there. The departure of Zayn Malik didn't seem to make a difference either. It would not be surprising if all of these boys broke off from the pop sound when and if they go solo. The album isn't bad at all, but what it needs is growth.

Eu gosto dessa boyband. Mas depois de quatro álbuns quase iguais, esperava algo de novo. As letras são sempre as mesmas. Por outro lado , batidas e vocais melhoraram bastante.

How monotonous you can be? Vol. 5 with One Direction.
Don't they think about trying something new? Like, new sounds and style?
Don't you get tired of listening all the same songs!!?!?!
    Lame-.

I really don't wanna compare, but Purpose is so much better :/ Made in the AM is just other album from One Direction, nothing different :/ I'm sad about this album, really sad

[ENGLISH ] This album is the same than the others One Direction's albums. I liked the pasts albums a little, but this album, without the Zayn Malik's voice is so bad. One Direction needs to improve their music.

[ESPAÑOL] Este álbum es el mismo que los demás álbumes de One Direction. Me han gustado los álbumes pasados un poco, pero este álbum, sin la voz de Zayn Malik es muy malo. One

as it turns out, one direction might actually be a better band with just 4 members, and less distracting voices and more spotlight to those remaining to create familiarity. it's too bad this will be their only album using this formula, it's their best in a while.

Since Midnight Memories I have been quite a fan of this band. Well, I am not so into them but I actually found out that their music is not bad at all and, from time to time, I like to listen to some of their songs. On this album, they lost the best voice they had. I am not going to lie, I am a big stan of Zayn's voice - it's amazing - and now I feel the band is missing something. But they still have a lot to show, they still sound good together and I think they are even lyrically better - a bit. It's a pity that they 'broke up' because I was ready to hear more of their music (and I also think that apart from Zayn, they are not solo material) Expand

This album is better than FOUR (thank god) but not as good as their first 3 albums. No lie, MITAM sounds like a compilation of remastered unreleased songs from the 4 previous albums. Don’t get me wrong, most of the album is great but it lacks originality which isn’t a good thing. Artists are supposed to evolve with their music not stay in the same place. This is why the GP couldn’t take them seriously anymore. I started not taking them seriously when FOUR dropped. Drag Me Down is their best single for so many reasons and I was expecting the album to sound similar to it or have tracks that are better. But there weren’t. I don’t blame Zayn for not caring for MITAM. It’s understandable. Nothing changed when he left and you’d think it would. Expand

On Made in the A.M. the group takes advantage of its nothing-to-lose position with a handful of cuts that feel even loosey-goosier than usual.

Their songwriting shows growth, their vocals remain flawless, the production team continues to throw the occasional curveball to go along with the softballs, and there are plenty of songs that sound like the best pop music has to offer in 2015.

Instead of making a One Direction farewell album, they made a Take That comeback album.
