With the presence of Greek myths and exploitation of psychoanalysis through Jung, BTS shows what is lacking in the pop artists of today: identity. A cohesive album, with music gender variability and production, shows why they are one of the biggest groups nowadays.

The diversity in this is insane and they manage to pull off every genre. Particularly enjoyed the connections to both Carl Jung's work AND their own discography.

One of the things that interested me the most when I've first listened to BTS was their ability to go through different music genres like pop, hip-hop, and even rock. And that's exactly what they did with this album.

I haven't seen and pop album with this versatility in a long time. Most pop artists these days focus in making hit songs and use trending music styles but forget about the essence, lyrics and share a message with their fans and the gp.
BTS does that perfectly with this album. They deliver a powerful message of love and debate about their own history and achievments with sincerity and a open heart and with amazing music productions.
I am really excited to see more from them and from this new era.

The album is the most organic of the group, something direct about knowing who you are and what you want. Knowing you need something and knowing you need to put things aside (like pride) to ask for help. The artistic quality is surprising and even if I was not a fan, I would become this album and surely it would be possible to feel safer about it when analyzing the entire discography of the group.

What surprised me the most about this album was the depth of its lyrics, some bordering a sense of melancholy, going along with catchy and happy pop/R&B melodies. Very nice to see artists with such compromise of bringing something new and so experimental.

BTS' body of work has a psychological and self-care meaning. The production has occidental influence, for example in Mikrokosmos and HOME can be identified the One Direction and Bruno Mars "style" respectively. The lyrics are well structured, except Dionysus, in which has demonstrated how forced and stiff an outro song can be. 69/100

Reason? My connection to MOTS:Persona is at a level where words stop being an accurate medium of expression. Corny and pretentious as it may sound, I would scream from the rooftops if I could about how much JOY this album brings to me at a time when I need this lift the most. The lyrics and melodies of Persona read like a personal letter from BTS to their fans, a letter that asks us how we are doing as it reminisces our shared journey through some of the toughest roadways. Definitely my favourite BTS album seeing as how each new replay seems like the first one and is just as delightful as the previous round. Boy With Luv is the perfect title track for this season and brings me so much childlike-joy - something that's hard to come by these days. Great job Bangtan! Be engaged with the music, find that entry to the music, regardless of the genre/style. It's a problem that people have when criticizing songs. I also want to say that the choruses are the tipping point. If the choruses doesn't have its charm to make someone engaged, then the song needs improvement. Map Of The Soul: Persona is more Pop-orientated than their previous projects, what came out of this one great song after the other.

A good album but after the masterpiece that is Tear, this album doesn’t compare. Sonically it’s good but not as cohesive as Tear. The production on this album is amazing as usual and they really stepped it up with the vocals. The standout track on this album is definitely the old school r&b infused song HOME.

It's an album full of love. All the songs are so pretty and have a cheerful and energetic vibe. However, through the album, they included lots of meaningful messages and had deep theories. I really enjoyed it. Tysm

The album is amazing. The songs are all bops and the themes of every song are interesting and really give you something to think or introduce you to something new to learn. BTS did their magic again and I'm so grateful I found them. They make my live a lot better and kinda give it purpose. And they help me so much

The EP moves easily through different spheres of young love, young fame and young ambition, all of it audible through coruscating backgrounds and intense vocal deliveries that channel the high-running tensions of technicolor teenage drama.

A valiant and partly successful attempt from K-pop’s biggest band to move forward in their music. While they undeniably remain a success, the recycled sonics and multiple references to past music makes it hard for old listeners to let go of past glory and for the new to connect with their current music.

Map of the Soul: Persona is a bold, if tempered, call to Western media.
