I think this album is probably one of his best all time after the classic three. It’s way up there, and deserves a lot of praise. Even the songs that aren’t as good are still pretty good listens. The production is consistently excellent and Darkness might be New Em‘s Stan.
EDITED: After a couple of listens, this is one of his best. So much stuff you have to go back to and listen again to

Lyrically insane. The features and hooks and verses are brilliant. Music to Be Murdered By offers one virtuoso performance after another: delivery that’s both warp-speed and perfectly enunciated, constant shifts in tempo and emphasis.

Instant classic for me. Shady is back and there isn't a single weak link in this album. There are a bunch of banger tracks like Little Engine, Godzilla and Those Kinda Nights and pure Shady tracks like Stepdad and the controversial Unaccommodating. He also sets a new personal record for speed on Godzilla. This album has some surprising rap features.

There has been allot too be disappointed with in Eminem's latest albums I feel as I've even though well never see the Eminem from mmlp and the Eminem show again this may be the closest we have gotten so far.

Don't let them take out of context lines to try to discredit his lyrical ability either. Eminem in this album brings us one the deepest and most layered songs I've heard in a long time. it's up their with Stan and Bad Guy. Nothing will ever match Stan don't get me wrong, but it's amazing. Throughout the album we have Eminem rapping over some very nice beats and the album is full with amazing features from Young MA, to Juice WRLD, to Royce and so on. Personally my favorites our Darkness and leaving Heaven. In leaving heaven Eminem speaks on his father, who just passed away last year. You can just feel the emotion through Em's lyrics. The only song I really dislike on this album is the one with Ed Sheeran but other than that there's something for everyone. Expand

After watching the "Darkness" video I didn't know what to expect but after picking my jaw from the floor and listening to the whole album I was pleased... really pleased.
Eminem went a long way from Revival(I dont hate it, some song I liked, other not so much), through Kamikaze which was very strong but a little bit raw album up to this jewel!
What hit me the most? BEATS. In my opinion from Revival to MUSIC TO BE MURDERED BY theres 10-15 step when it comes to beats and the sounds overall. It sounds, modern, energetic and HIP HOP.
Songs like Premonition, Godzilla, Unaccommodating or You Gon' Learn sound amazing and the other ones are pretty good to. What I really like is that Eminem sounds like He had a lot of fun making this album. Theres a lot of funny ad-libs and jokes, which i missed in last Eminem's albums.
Lirycs... It's Eminem! Top tier bars, clever doubles(Darkness is sick!) and a ton of punchlines. Great stuff. Absolutely briliant.
There's also few disses, powerfull but not as angry as on Kamikaze.
Hooks? Pretty good. Some landed hard(Godzilla, I Will, Darkness), some are good and 1-2 I wasn't biggest fan.
Features? AMAZING. Royce, Crook(his verse was nuts!), Joel, BT, Young Ma... I also liked Skylar Grey on the hook(powerful stuff!)
The whole theme of the album is great, especially for Alfred Hitchcock's fans. It has its own style.

Is it as good as MMLP or the Eminem Show? No, but no rap album is. “Darkness” is haunting. “Godzilla” is, well, nearly superhuman given Eminem broke his own Guinness world record for faster rapper ever (ie, “Rap God,”) with this track. Given his lyrical genius, his music speaks for itself. Give it a listen; you won’t regret it.

Eminem has once again shown he is one of greatest of all time. The lyrical flow on this album is taking it back to MMLP days.

Shady is back. Unforgiving, unapologetic, and real. 2020 will show a lack of intolerance for some, but the fact that he’s reigniting the gun-reform conversation, and it didn’t take ANOTHER mass shooting, is a victory in itself. Let alone a fire album, tracks 1-20.

This album is a classic. Eminem is at his peak, perhaps more so than he has been since the Eminem Show. There isn't a single song on this album that I dislike.

The production on this album is fantastic, Em's lyrics are as impressive as always, and the hooks are the best I've heard since vintage Shady. Genuinely, many of these songs just feel like Eminem in what people thought was his

O levantamento de fundos chegou a US$ 2 milhões... Então pesquise antes de falar alguma coisa tá ???? Expand

Eminem’s best album since the 00s. From front to back this is a true definition of a hip hop album. Hopefully it inspires the current generation to focus on lyrics and punchlines more.

It also has some great fun tracks to simply enjoy. I strongly suggest you all download it, fans will be proud and non-fans will become fans!! Expand

This is definitely best Eminem album since Revival in my opinion. Production was great, Good and unusual beats for Eminem. Interesting features sadly we couldn’t here Juice Wrld verse on Godzilla but hook was great, Overall this album sounds different like every Eminem album that’s what I like about him. Amazing work Shady!

This is Eminem's best album since 2002. It's heartbreaking while also having the ability to make your head spin with acrobatic lyricsm.

    A bloody masterpiece!!! Hands down!!!
Controversial,ye,sure.Ton of folks are retreating with bleeding ears, but Marsh has done and keep on doin that since...well since forever.Da hell you except? "My lyrics never sit well,so they wanna gimme the chair" That right there should tell you enough really.
Love him or hate him, support him or criticize him, listen to his music or pretend it doesn't

Love him or hate him, support him or criticize him, listen to his music or pretend it doesn't exist, one thing is an undeniable fact: There is simply no other artist in the rap game and not only, that manages to still rock the brains out of everyone with his pure genius skill to spit raps and ability of storytelling quite as Eminem, making everything he says meaningful. If you can follow that is :D
"Music to be murdered by" could easily be the name of his entire career and likewise all sorts of expectations, feelings and tastes will be "attacked" in different ways.
But imma tell you one thing: I have never thought imma be so happy getting murdered and if we are totally honest..so would you!
    Peace ;)

He clearly cares about his output, but “Music To Be Murdered By” is, unfortunately, another mixed bag of tricks, propped up by lyrical acrobatics and underwhelming production.

If they look hard enough, any artist could find criticism of their work online. That’s sort of the curse of the Information Age. But not everyone overreacts quite as much as Eminem does. But if his fears grow tiring, his lyrical ability can still give you something to admire, even if the album is somewhat uneven.

It is not, strictly speaking, a good record—Eminem hasn’t made one of those in a decade—but it boasts enough technical command and generates just enough arresting ideas to hold your attention.
