    There's nothing special about it production wise, and its full of creepy lyrics and expletives. The music video for "power" may be pleasing to the eyes but it also comes off as extremely pretentious and I found the addition of the sample from In The Court of The Crimson King ("Twenty first century schizoid man!") to be very strange. After this raucous and ego-driven track we then in aThere's nothing special about it production wise, and its full of creepy lyrics and expletives. The music video for "power" may be pleasing to the eyes but it also comes off as extremely pretentious and I found the addition of the sample from In The Court of The Crimson King ("Twenty first century schizoid man!") to be very strange. After this raucous and ego-driven track we then in a bipolar manner switch to an instrumental thats melodically pleasing using pianos and I believe a cello.

    The next track is just a hype track using the same instrumental of the previous track in the beginning. The entire album is just more urban jungle music and seems pretty boring to me.    … Expand

    This album might be the most maximalist album to have come out during the 2010s decade has aged like fine wine. Dark Fantasy is an all time great introduction track and Power has some of the best production I’ve ever heard. Overall, what makes this album get the acclaim it gets is the production. Just an absolute masterpiece of an album. 10/10

    This album is amazing, BUT it has been growing tf off of me for the last couple of years. I feel guilty to admit that some tracks just don't appeal to me anymore like Gorgeous and Dark Fantasy. Still, an amazing record, and I hope that my love for this album will come back.

    definitly 10/10. Sampling in this album is decent, when i listen songs like Blame Game or Runaway, i feel vibe, like when Kanye was recording this album on Hawaii.

    Wow... this has to be one of the best albums I've listened to recently. Every aspect seems to be so well thought-out. When it comes to production, Kanye West is one of the best. The first five songs are so good that I can't really think of a better track run. The songwritting was good too but there were times when I felt like he was just throwing words around.

    My all-time favourite album. I remember this album made a huge impact on how I create and listen to music, especially the Runaway short movie. One of the best opening and closing tracks I've ever heard aswell. I quite literally have no complaints on this LP.

    "My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy" is probably one of the greatest albums of all time. Everything about this album is masterful, and every song is thought out carefully with maximum effort. It's an obvious 10. If a reviewing platform as stubborn as Pitchfork gives an album a 10, you know it's an excellent album.

    By far Ye's best album. Amazing production as always, an outstanding redemption for Ye when he absolutely needed it. Sadly the last 4 tracks, while being alright, simply aren't nearly as good as the beginning and middle of the album, brings it down from perfect.

    Every song is so intricate and satisfying to the ear, as Kanye shows his narcissism mixed with insecurity. I always come back to this album, as every song is so beautiful. My favorites are Runaway and Bound 2. Such beautiful songs about heartbreak and the struggle of finding love.

Love this record and it´s starts so strong, Dark Fantasy being the best Kanye intro to any album, Gorgeous guitar riff and Kid Cudi´s hooks, POWER being just a classic and Runaway being one of Kanye´s best songs. But most of the second half I don't find it that much appealing to me. I don't like So Appalled and I hate Hell Of A Life. The outro with Bon Iver with Lost In The World and Who Will Survive In America are not that bad in my opinion, actually i enjoyed those songs matching together at the very end. I like this album and it was a pivital point in Kanye´s carrer, for what happened with Taylor Swift and him exiling to Hawaii. I don´t think it's MAGNUM OPUS, like some ppl call it but I can respect that opinion.… Expand

    What can I say about this album that hasn't been said already? It truly is the closest thing to a perfect album. I can say I didn't love every song, but my enjoyment of the other songs raises my enjoyment for this project as a whole.

The best album I've ever heard, the Lost In The World music video is definitely the highlight, it has references to Satan, and both the opposition of words in the lyrics with the mirror that shows two opposite sides allude to the “As above, so below; as below, so above” quote, it throws explicit satanic messages at your face and looks like a representation of hell at the same time, and All of the Lights imagery was heavy influenced by the Gaspar Noé "Enter The Void" movie, the whole album it's just so satisfying to watch and we'll executed, it's a masterpiece… Expand

    Kanye is a musical genius, with this album as probably his best if not one of his best albums to date. The production is top notch, and the songs are haunting and riveting at the same time. All of the Lights, Power, and Runaway are all classic anthems. This album is going to be timeless.
