Pretty good album. Definitely a breakup album

Best : Jealous, Chains, Close , Champagne problems, Under you
Worst : Comfortable, Bacon starting 2:01 and ending at 2.24 because of Ty Dolla $ign.
This guy seems to have make he's mission to come mumble a bunch of nonsense on every track that he can.

amo Nick per il suo continuo sperimentare nuovi generi. l'album mi è piaciuto tantissimo ma devo ammettere che non è il meglio. Di spessore trovo molto Avalanche con Demi Lovato, Numb con Angel Haze, I Want You, Wildernes, Teacher e Nothing Will Be Better.

Nick Jonas mostrou que tem bastante talento.

    preferidas Chains, Teacher e Jealous.

e a parceria entre ele e Demi ficou show em Avalanche, pena que essa faixa não virou single e ficou sem videoclipe.

I've always said Nick was the best of the Jonas Brothers but I was not ready for this beauty. A nostalgic reminder of a young Justin Timberlake. Perfect use of falsetto. He balances funk, R&B and Pop in a wonderfully modern way. Emotional when he needs to be and gets me dancing at the same time!

Go Jonas go! The new album is amazing, we can not let it pass! Songs like "Levels" and "Wilderness" are really cool and were produced so well! Tanks Jonas for that! Grammy waits for u.

It’s apparently the beginning of a new era for Nick Jonas and while his eponymous [solo] debut album definitely hint at the ‘10s’ own Justin Timberlake, it at least mostly succeeds at separating him from that god-awful Disney manufactured trio and turning him into mainstream music’s most irresistible twenty-something sex icon for the ladies—and gay men, which Jonas has openly pandered toIt’s apparently the beginning of a new era for Nick Jonas and while his eponymous [solo] debut album definitely hint at the ‘10s’ own Justin Timberlake, it at least mostly succeeds at separating him from that god-awful Disney manufactured trio and turning him into mainstream music’s most irresistible twenty-something sex icon for the ladies—and gay men, which Jonas has openly pandered to since his musical rebirth. And as long as you didn’t come for anything even remotely timeless, let alone innovative (ha!), or lyrical depth, Jonas definitely delivers on the hooks—he has at last outgrown that teeny-bopping whine and matured into a smooth, sensual tone that makes his choruses soar and his verses flow like water. Musically, Jonas has adapted R&B—of course—and more significantly, trap; lead single “Chains” lyrically calls out to the Fifty Shades of Grey fandom with its masochist metaphor of being trapped by his romantic antagonist (“You got me in chains for your love”), while “Numb” features Jonas’ first f-bomb backed by hiccupping beats and chopped up ‘ah’s obviously influenced by DJ Snake’s recent material. As far as balladry, don’t expect any “Cry Me a River” or anything above average, so just keep your mind on the trappier tracks, turn your speakers up, and sing along to words you won’t remember by this day next year. But for now, Nick Jonas has made an exceptional record that’s simultaneously a statement about newfound adulthood in the limelight and a transition into a much more controversial figure that isn’t afraid of tossing his purity ring into the trash without being a total dick about it.

Overall rating: 6.9 (but let's go ahead and make it a 7 since it was SO close)

In what is quite possibly the biggest musical surprise of 2014, Nick Jonas pulls out most of the stops in his sophomore solo effort. The Deluxe version is by far the more superior, with the addition of three must-hear songs, including the haunting "Santa Barbara." Jonas puts his falsetto to good use in the majority of the tracks--while it can get a tad jarring in a bridge here and there ("Chains" is an example), it adds a layer of aural icing overall. "Push" is a stand out, with vocals reminiscent of Frank Ocean and Prince, Jonas shows he has the right stuff. The rather psychotic stalker anthem "I Want You" is a foot-stomper, while "Teacher" takes a whole new direction with its Prince-inspired backbeat and smooth vocals that bring Timberlake to mind (in a good way). This album is leaps and bounds ahead of his work with Jonas Brothers. It's easy to tell Nick Jonas has something to say musically, and you do want to hear it. Expand

Nick certainly found his spot in the music industry. Far from his days as a Jonas Brother, he discovered a way to show off his falsetto high notes, and great writing skills. He delivered one of the best Pop albums this year and didn't let influence himself by the current music trend. He carefully followed Prince and Stevie Wonder's path and succeed.

Really surprising release. I was hoping to hear a good album but this one is better than expected. Nick proves his voice is his best feature, with that great falsetto notes and good lyrics (written by himself) to prove he has one of the best albums released this year. For Jonas, the new sound works well: He's sweetly confident while singing about all the adult lust that he has been suppressing in his music for years.

Nick Jonas is at its best when Jonas plays it straight, when he relies on his eternal Prince and Stevie Wonder fixations, which give him not only a fairly rich palette to draw from but provide him with a good direction to channel his melodic skills.
