    Audioslave is an incredible band, Chris Cornell is most certainly one of the best voices in rock, and the instrumentalists that back him up are the best in the business. This album proves it.

    Since Soundgarden and Rage (Rage fan from the beginning) split, I've been waiting for a heavy rock band to come around. To expect Audioslave to sound like either of the other bands is narrow minded. I like every track on both disks, it is only going to get better. Hopefully the generic pop/punk and pop/rock considered music will fall to the way side the more music Audioslave puts out.

    the best of both worlds, this is an amazing album better than the last finally audioslave has found their own sound. if you liked rage against the machine changes are you'll like this album. chris cornell and tom morello are probably the two most gifted people in the music industry, the guitar solos are amaazing. cd fav: Doesnt remind me , man or animal, the curse, be yourself, drown the best of both worlds, this is an amazing album better than the last finally audioslave has found their own sound. if you liked rage against the machine changes are you'll like this album. chris cornell and tom morello are probably the two most gifted people in the music industry, the guitar solos are amaazing. cd fav: Doesnt remind me , man or animal, the curse, be yourself, drown me slowly !… Expand

    I dont understand why this album gets so poor ratings....I love it, it rocks, When I listen to the first track, i jsut want run naked all o ver the world. It is so coool....And Tom Morello shows another side of himself, he shows the he is a pretty damn good solo-guitarist;) THIS ALBUM ROCKS....RUN AND BUY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Every song on the album is uplifting. The CD has a variety of tempos too. From songs such as "Man or Animal" to "Dandelion." I like every song on the album...it's friggin awesome!!!

    pope john paul doesnt know what he is talking about thus why he didnt put his real name if you actually listened to rock music you would understand that even thought the solos were expected they were better then any other gutarist's solos out today.     Out of Exile is just as great as their self-titled debut, though more mellow. I'm beginning to think Audioslave cannot create a song I don't like, which I can't say for most other bands. This CD rules.

    dude, this album rocked! i loved your time has come, out of exile,be yourself, and doesn't remind me! There singles were AWESOME! but they should have made a video for Heavens Dead. That was pretty good also. I loved their soft side. But Rock Hard Revelations is even better.

    This album is far superior to the self-titled debut, which (and i know many would never admit it) was somewhat one-dimensional...this is a dynamic, eclectic and multi-layered piece which will grow on you with each listen..great work! all hope is not lost with audioslave..thank goodness Fav tracks: Yesterday to Tomorrow, Doesn't Remind Me, Drown Me Slowly, Be Yourself, Out of Exile

    A very good album, not as good as thier first. This album is not as heavy, but it makes up for that with some very great songs.

    If you like this kind of music, it's what u want. Great lyrics, nice tunes, sweet solo riffs and a genuine passion for music. If you don't like this kind of music, fuck off and don't vote cause I don't go out to give rap/pop shitty scores since I know I'll hate the album without even listening to it.

    A significant improvement that finds them sounding like a band instead of a supergroup. Some surprsingly well-written songs too.

    Cracking album. Their debut album was my favourite 'current' album until a couple of hours ago when I bought OOE. A good mix of songs, none of them suck and some are superb. As before a great blend of rythm, guitar riffs and Cornell's voice.

    Brilliant. The common theme seems to be Audioslave have found THEIR own sound which I couldn't agree with more. They sound like a band now, not Cornell singing over Morello's riffs. I think this is an absolute gem of a CD, Morello is mesmorizing (yes that good) and in my opinion his best work to date. I feel dirty comparing Audioslave to Soundgarden and RATM but I think this is Brilliant. The common theme seems to be Audioslave have found THEIR own sound which I couldn't agree with more.     are we rating an album or a song?... ooe is better than their debut album... song by song the first one is far superior, but as an album you can feel this one being much more complete, or solid.

    Out of Exile is not as good as Audioslave's self titled album but that does not make it a bad album at all. It displays a different genre of music than the first album did. Chris Cornell said himself that the lyrics on this album were better than the first album and that they no longer needed to rely on the heavy guitar riff all the time. Then of course you have several hit rock songs in Doesn't Remind Me, Your Time Has Come and Be Yourself. Out of Exile is just a classic hard rock album. It's not as good as the debut, the high-pitch guitar really pushing buttons this time around and the lyrics for moments and even for a whole song save the chorus ('Doesn't Remind It walks the line between Soundgarden and Rage Against the Machine like a tightrope walker between the Sears Tower and a hot air balloon, conjuring up memories of both in the twelve tracks. Overall however, 'Out of Exile' is a good album if not completely great. Even with the limp 'Doesn't Remind me', it was all worth it for the emotionally gripping 'The Curse', the rocker 'Your Time has Come', and the amazing 'Be Yourself'. Audioslave have created a fine follow-up album where others have produced putrid trash.… Expand

    True that man! Some of Morrelo's solos are awesome here. What the hell was Paul thinking when he wrote that! Cornell's voice is also second to none and the band seems reformed from their last disc... Very Reformed.

    Good album, though not as good as the debut. 'Be Yourself' is of course, the main song on the album, but it is a fairly well-rounded album. 'Number One Zero' is a fav of mine; the album is pretty awesome rock.

There are a few songs here where Audioslave is Audioslave and not that band with Cris Cornell and those guys from Rage. Doesnt Remind Me, Dandelion, and #1 Zero all have a distinctly different sound than either of their previous groups. While this one isn't on par with the debut album its still a good effort.     Audioslave's debut, in my mind, was the best rock album I'd heard in about 10 years. From that reference point, the second album doesn't quite get there again, but it's excellent in its own right. This one will stay in my car's stereo for at least several months....

    This album definitely showed how Audioslave is molding together into themselves and breaking away from their old ties. Not as strong as their first one but it's still a winner.

    tom morello is the craziest guitar genious of the new century, yo. brad wilk's drumming is precise and effective. tim cummerford's treble heavy bass is cool and chris cornell's singing is great. but the songs are only good not excellent,

    I guess they're trying to find a place in the musical rock revolution both RATM and Soundgarden develop and sustain in the 90's. Give them some time and you'll be mesmerize. Right now they're just rocking out the angst you feel by seeing Blink 182 on top of the charts.

    A solid sophomore album; great, heavy guitar riffs and dramatic solos. Chris Cornell shines bright, conjuring up memories of his solo effort "Euphoria Morning" with tunes like "Doesn't Remind Me" and "Dandelion" while Morello and Co. keep rockin'.

    Well... this album really doesn't sound forced like their last one. They seem to have gone a little softer, a little more mainstream, but that's THEIR sound. They aren't copying Rage or Soundgarden. And Morello is really showcased in a lot of the songs. "Doesn't Remind Me" is catchy and awesome, maybe the best on the CD

    Maybe they are one of the best rock bands right now... but i cant rate as a 10, because i know they can do a better CD... RATM was a lo tbetter than this.

    Heard "Remind Me" on the radio and couldn't get enough of it. The rest of the album is just as strong. Soundgarden may be long gone, but it no longer matters.

    While the first album, although it's good reception, had issues with Tom Morellos guitar playing (I'm saying this as a huge fan!), he seems to have fixed this issue in a few spots on the album and that increased it's enjoyabality to a much higher level. Doesn't Remind Me and Drown Me Slowly had me rocking hard!

    "Be yourself is all that you can do" Basic, simple but it does the job.with this one morello shows us that he can still make great solos like back in the days!!! I'm sure that cornell had a greater part for the music adding a new dimension to the band.Not bad

    I really enjoyed thier first album and couldnt wait for their second to come out. But when i first lisented to it i was disapointed. Where was the hard rock i had liked. Now it was replaced by slower songs. But after a couple of times the songs really caught. Tom morerelo's solos are extremely amazing and are far more common in this album.     There were a few good tracks from the album but it wasnt as good as the previous album. Audioslave has come into a more original sound but it doesnt really work as well as they previously sounded.
