This album is Snoop's best since Doggystyle, the beats are great and Snoop sounds damn bit better than he has in prior albums. This is almost a classic, songs like Boss Playa or Pimp Slapp'd just kill and Beautiful isn't even the best song on the album. Definitely a 9/10 but I like it so much in my opinion it receives full marks.

This is really funky. I love the "chill-songs" like Ballin' and Boss Playa, and the whole album is really solid, but it isn't as good as "tha last meal", which is classical. Snoop is the man.

very strong beats and creates affective G-FUNK atmosphere on the surface a brilliant album with no flaws only problem is the lack of lyrical heroism with the dogg resorting to his usual 70's- pimp stylishnes

The album's most compelling moments recall the Doggfather's early days. [Jan 2003, p.125]

He treads a line between loving monogamy and club bangers, emphasising accessibility throughout. [Jan 2003, p.128]
