Mar 14, 2016This was my first time listening to Brian Fallon's solo work. Outstanding songwriting with hooks that get you singing along. "Among Other Foolish Things" and "Nobody Wins" are the tracks that I found myself rewinding to hear again. Good mellow album for a road trip.

Jun 2, 2016A direct continuation of the Gaslight man’s Americana-driven Horrible Crowes side project of 2011, only imbued with more confidence.

Kerrang!Mar 16, 2016A record that's a straight-up fantastic return to Brian's rock'n'roll roots. [19 Mar 2016, p.67]

Mar 14, 2016The album's congruence in theme, tempo, and tone is both consistent and coherent. Together with Butch Walker, Catherine Popper, and long-time running mates Ian Perkins and Alex Rosamilia (among others), Painkillers is a carefully-cultivated record that Fallon categorically needed to write.
