All doom fans should check out this album; those who aren't yet Inter Arma converts will more than likely be swayed by the cohesive chaos and neurotic introspection that define this album.

There's a lot to take in, but Inter Arma are one of the few bands who could deliver a work of such punishing excess, expansive musicality, and devastating beauty.

On the whole, this is an excellent record by one of the most exciting bands in experimental metal. The fact that Paradise Gallows struggles under its own weight, and feels somewhat out of order, does not drag the LP under like a boat being dashed against the rocks of an unforgiving sea.
