Sep 12, 2017The Districts succeed in many ways here, perhaps the most important way being their cool, interesting sonic distortions that overcame some undemonstrative background structures, showing the kind of strong songwriting quality that may be easily looked past in the sea of smart yet unnecessarily categorized indie rock. My Score: 135/180 (Solid) = 7.5/10

Sep 25, 2017Themes of alienation and heartbreak are set against sweeping guitar hooks, handled with a well-studied attention to craft that takes cues from bands like Wolf Parade and Modest Mouse. A wise template to base their potent anthems on.

Aug 14, 2017Like all of their work, it’s capable and tuneful and reveals a young band of skilled songwriters that put all their faith in their guitars, even if it’s often hard to pinpoint where their own vision begins and their taste ends.
