An epic 19-track collection that stands as her best and boldest recorded work to date.

It’s a lot of fun, but not quite the instant classic for which Minaj seems to have been aiming.

It may lack cohesion at certain points, but one thing is never in doubt: Minaj is still one of the best in her field.

There are no deep layers to be uncovered on Queen. No methodical analysis responding to her critics for her reliance on sexual ploys. Nary a mention of any mental anguish the grave allegations her brother faces.

When Minaj leans into her untouchable strengths as a rapper, things get really exciting and an album of tracks as strong as "LLC" or "Barbie Dreams" would be one for the books. As it stands, however, Queen is another chapter of Minaj's good but largely meandering and inconsistent full-length album output.

It’s refreshingly spur-of-the-moment on an album that’s let down by constant overthinking and underestimating of her abilities. If Minaj wants to make a mission statement of an album, worthy of this title, she needs to figure out a mission statement for herself.

Minaj is obviously capable of backing up all the posturing. ... But Queen also finds Minaj falling back on some frustratingly familiar shortcomings. The album loses its momentum whenever it aims for the pop charts.

I love how she proves her self as queen through her dynamic flows, witty verses, metaphors, personality, wordplay, and versatility. Although, personally I would have liked to see her capitalize on her album Title with the selected songs (excluding majesty). She out rapped every previous album, at the end of barbie dreams the emergence of roman definitely got me way too excited. It showed that she was having fun with this album and that she's happy. Personal Faves - Barbie Dreams, LLC, Ganja Burns, Good Form, Chun Swae, and Nip Tuck. Expand

I think Nicki, once again, proved that she is simply one of the best rappers in the rap game and definitely unbeatable in the female rap game.
