  1. Jan 25, 2023
The chill, sparse productions foreground Clavish’s economical delivery beautifully, as he flirts with imploring vulnerability and vicious querulousness without ever committing to either.
  2. 80
Clavish narrates his story against a backdrop of deep subs, eerie synth melodies, and dark ambience that allow his bars to cut through with a real sharpness. If he learns to refine his output a little, there’s no reason Clavish can’t achieve the levels of stardom he’s been tipped to reach.
  3. Jan 25, 2023
There’s an album’s worth of tracks here that put Clavish head and shoulders above his peers, which only makes the other album’s worth of misfires more disappointing for their inclusion.
  4. Jan 25, 2023
He’s abundantly talented, a singular and austerely powerful voice. But as Rap Game Awful proves, abundance can be a problem.
