The 19 songs here have been reinvented by an array of alternative and hip hop musicians and producers, including members of Korn, Jurassic 5, Orgy, and Staind, and given cryptic new titles such as "Rnw@y" and "My{Dsmbr." A freakazoid musical pastiche. [Oct 2002, p.83]

As on Hybrid Theory, there's a definite formula at work in all 19 songs, but it's flawless and effective.

Ultimately, the set is a little schizo, but it channels enough rap-rock frisson to make it more than just a between-albums snack. [Sep 2002, p.128]
  4. Why didn't they travel this far out of the box initially?
  5. When it works, the results are astounding.

Linkin gain from their hip-hop daring, and the dance domos get to wedge a foot in the crossover door. [#9, p.151]
  7. Chester Bennington's anguished man-child howling is largely left on the shelf, as are the thrusting hooks that were Linkin Park's big draw.

The original songs is hybrid theory were good enough and did not need to be remixed in this fashion. The rap on reanimation is not professionaly done and is by a bunch of unknown hip hop artists. However i give this album a five simply because the songs are not entirely sickening and they do have gripping qualities to them due to the techno instruments. Linkin Park is just killing Hybrid Theory with this remix album. My advice, hey, move on in life and don't dwell on past successes. Get some new material. Collapse
