Possibly one of Eno's laziest works in his career. It vaguely reminds me of "Discreet Music", only that there are no beautiful synth tones, or melodies, or patterns to be found, or a decent sense of when track lengths are going out of control. Sounds like a failed experiment that shouldn't have been released like this.

From the exquisitely simple pitch organization to the beautiful, nearly undetectable layers of sound that puts the listener into a meditative trance, this is another great work from the master of ambient music. My Score: 151/180 (Great) = 8.4/10

    It's beautiful. [No. 139, p.55]

It’s hardly groundbreaking in the way that Eno often was, and though it is pleasant, Reflection even falls short of the blissful ebullience present in the Eno + Hyde albums.

It does nothing new--its tone barely changes over the single 54-minute piece--yet it makes you feel really, really good. Always perverse, Eno achieves the most when he does the least.
