Opener ‘Breathe’ raises shivers with its breakdown and descending strings, ‘Flowers’ has the queasy intensity of My Bloody Valentine and makes elegant use of space and balance, while ‘JOY’ is a throbbing fuzz monster, all desperation and thunder. Again and again the trio wrap drama in something shimmering and glorious, like aural pigs-in-blankets, weaving intricate and catchy lead lines and rattling snare fills between huge pillars of sonic emotion.

Though a record of torn emotions, veering from elation to desolation even with a single track, Reiði is far from directionless. Resolute in its delivery and steadfast in its ambition, Black Foxxes have delivered an album that’s both hauntingly fragile, aggressively unapologetic and arguably one of the strongest releases of the year.

They continue to create and deliver captivatingly unique songs, further cementing themselves as one of the most exciting bands in British alternative rock.

The imperfections and the what-ifs are exactly what make it so intriguing as a glimpse of where Holley could take things. It’s an album which poses more questions than it answers. It gets under your skin like a tick. It leads you to the river but never forces to drink. It leaves you wondering what Black Foxxes are trying to say, but never gives you the answers. The scab of the question itches, and you’re left wanting nothing but to scratch it.

Reiði is an album that's as difficult to get the measure of at first as its title is to pronounce. But, like any journey worth taking, it's one that rewards involvement and ceaseless exploration. [17 Mar 2018, p.54]

If their debut was dependent on painkillers, Reiðl is the sound of a band beginning to heal.

____ Has not disappeared yet good guitar music in this world!
____ The name in the translation from Icelandic means "anger" and fully corresponds to the inner content of the album: the fury of rock'n'roll is present on it in full. Bright and emotional songs, filled with the liberated, sincere voice of Mark Holly, easily sink into the heart and head. Young, modest and very enthusiastic guys who play live and true rock and roll will surely like both boys and girls of college age, and audience for 40, who still have gunpowder in the flasks.
____ In general, while in the music world everyone is busy searching for a new sound and maneuvering in the inter-genre space, Black Foxxes tear the strings, playing good old rock and roll, and light the audience with their powerful energy. And if you are not already familiar with this trio, then you definitely should correct this omission!
