Reservoir maintains mostly a mellow and melancholic vibe throughout, but its charm is undeniable.

Writing powerful pop ballads about a failed platonic relationship, one sabotaged by distance, is part of what makes Reservoir stand out.

Oftentimes the lyricism and themes, although relatable and poetic, are somewhat cryptic and ambiguous. However, what Gordi has accomplished here is absolutely a successful debut full of honest feeling, introspection, and self-therapy all through beautifully-composed folktronic landscapes that are sure to mesmerize.

Much of Reservoir feels like an exercise in fussy production techniques layered over material by an artist who holds plenty of promise, but hasn't quite found her voice.
