    Ought's new Album is beautiful.

Very nice catchy art-rock/post-punk vibes that make an album full of very beautiful texturized vocal melodies and guitar rhythms. It actually very much reminds me of The Magnetic Feels meets Iceage and they decided to create an album inspired by Talk Talk. Its great!! It's a shame this one seems to be sipping through the cracks...do yourself a favour

This album is one of those rare treats, where every song has that capability of being your favorite track, depending on which day of the week it is.
It can be played on repeat, without incident.
As with many great albums, it takes several listens for some tracks to fully develop and take shape for the listener. But these are mixed in with some more accessible, but no less brilliant,

Their influences still show sometimes, but are much less pronounced, as the band comes into their own sound more than ever.

The album is strong but is a marked change in direction, nonetheless.

Some might say that Room Inside the World is too far removed from the manic proto-punk stylings of Today More Than Any Other Day or the barrage of organized noise that was Sun Coming Down, but this reviewer is of the opinion that those were building blocks that still exist in the final structure of this new album. It's just that the ways in which they support this new structure might not be what anyone expected, but the unexpected, in this case, is a pretty damn good surprise.

There’s a nagging feeling that they may still be a bit too obtuse for commercial success. The rest of us can just enjoy one of the early musical highlights of 2018.
