A great, and yes challenging, album, but what I'd expect from Rosanne. One of my favorite songwriters, with a subtlety that makes the music grow better with time and experience. I could not draw myself away from it till about the third time through, when I forced myself away to other music. The production and musicianship are great also, but the lyrics just hook me.

I had the first listen on NPR, the writing of all of the songs is amazing but, it's the melody, the phrasing and their pace that is difficult to take at times, not as good as "The River and The Thread", but in all it's a good and nice album,

The 13 songs, mostly slow to midtempo with some very fine lyrics, sound pensive and personal. [Jan 2018, p.86]

She remains hard to categorize, refracting country alongside rock, folk, and other elements befitting a longtime resident of New York City’s melting pot. And her most beautiful work can lean into the abstract.

She Remembers Everything is a collection of miniatures that collectively paint a vivid, haunting portrait of the blessings and bruises of life.
