This is an excellent compilation of all of the different grunge bands at the time featuring Soundgarden Pearl Jam and Smashing Pumpkins. Great introduction to grunge.

Giving this a 9 because it's the movie/soundtrack that got me into Alice in Chains 25 years ago. The rest of the album is pretty good, but I'm rating it solely on Alice in Chains.

Already an essential document to one of rock's most exciting periods, the heartbreaking poignancy these bonus tracks add now make it even more so. [3 Jun 2017, p.52]

The film and its astutely assembled soundtrack didn't just ride grunge's momentum, it pumped up the volume by capturing the scene in context. [Jun 2017, p.51]
