‘Sorry For The Late Reply’ is an album that’s taken the playful spark of their debut and refined it into a bolder beast.
  2. Jan 31, 2020
Arriving just at the right time for its message to feel truly resonant, Sorry For The Late Reply is a bold, brave, brilliant work.
  3. Feb 5, 2020
These are songs to throw yourself around the moshpit to – it’s the sound of a band realising their potential and loving every minute of it.

For all the barbed commentary on Sorry for the Late Reply, Sløtface never come off as strident or preachy. On the contrary, they sound like they’re having the time of their lives barreling through songs together, and their brio is contagious. If Try Not to Freak Out was the work of a band with great promise, Sorry for the Late Reply suggests they’re fully ready to live up to it.

This is an infectious, sharp record, different enough without losing what works. And when it works, which it frequently does, it really works.

Unfortunately, there are too many missteps for this to feel like any kind of progress on their debut, even if the sentiment behind the tracks remain essential. Sløtface clearly still have much to say; they just need to work out a way of rediscovering their voice.

Their second album may not pack many surprises, but vocalist Haley Shea proves engaging company. [Apr 2020, p.113]

Powerful vocals. Lively production and straightforward lyrical content. I am happy I discovered them.
