This is an amazing album. It’s part Gram Parson California country and western meets Mazzy Star dream pop mixed with the Georgia roots of the artists. His lyrics are introspective, intelligent and heartbreaking. I’ve enjoyed this album throughly and it’s definitely in my top 3 albums of the year. ✌

Gram Parsons with synths, a cant miss talent. An extremely strong debut, well written and thematically dreamy to its core. Flutes, strings, steel guitar and synths float in and out over breathless vocals and gentle melodies

Starmaker is a subtle, yet quietly powerful record that feels like it's been hiding in your record collection for decades, just waiting for the right rainy day to make itself known.

This is very lush, star-lit country music that is practically breathtaking in the moment while transcending the typical boundaries of the genre. It's about time.

Arranged with exquisite care, not a swooning backing vocal, Gram Parsons echo or Brian Eeno-influenced synthesizer out of place. [Apr 2020, p.89]
