Throughly enjoyed it. Consistantly reminds me of what real "soulful" music sounds like. Not a whole lot of unneccessary oohs and aahs as is present in many female artist today. Sexy but not explicit (big plus for me). Title tracts "Remy Red" and "Cinderella" are supa hot!! Well done, Angie!!!

Fantastic cd, strong contender for album of the year. Standouts include 'My man' which features Floetry, 'Come home (live with me)' and the Missy Elliott penned and produced 'U haul'. Classy soul with excellent, passioned vocals.

Not as good as Mahogany Soul, but I love it.

Everything is balmy, modestly funky--and strangely devoid of outright passion. [9 Jul 2004, p.85]
  2. A collection of rootsy yet sophisticated, summery soul grooves, with the usual nods to past masters like Aretha Franklin, Roberta Flack and Glady Knight, "Stone Love" is equally at home alongside the sultry, sassy R&B of contemporaries like Lauryn Hill, Alicia Keys and Erykah Badu.

Classicism yields all the right stuff: alert sound with a lived-in feel, finely detailed tunes that shoot straight. [Aug 2004, p.140]
