As a pop record, Stripped is practically flawless.
  2. A must-hear recording rich with pleasantly surprising depth.
  3. Forget all you know about Christina Aguilera. She's discovered sex, rebellion, rock'n'roll and, at one amazing instant, drum'n'bass.

As an artistic statement, Stripped is all over the place--it's a move toward hip-hop, it's a move toward rock, it's ghetto, it's Disney. [Dec 2002, p.137]
  5. If she had just shown up and sang her ass off, Stripped would've been a better show.
  6. Nearly every second of this overlong, 20-track workshop communicates the overwhelming struggles she endured -- while trying to become a superstar by age 18.
  7. t's nü-Mariah on mood stabilizers, extended with pseudo-pastiches of semi-popular songs.

    Ah, Stripped. ♥

Tide-turner on Christina's career, the one that made her a trailblazer and influenced younger generation of artists, especially pop-stars. Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato formed their 2015 & 2017 albums, respectively, based on this album, Stripped. Its influence reached Miley Cyrus with her leather-chaps, ANNE-MARIE with its songwriting and feminist messages, Ariana Grande with the vocals, Sam Smith with the substance and musical depth, country-singer Jessie James Decker credited it for "teaching her to sing and helping her through high-school" and the list goes on..

Fantastic musical & lyrical narrative with substance and messages and surprising sonical- and genre -variety. One of her most ambitious albums so far!

Christina Aguilera has the gift to reinvent herself in music whenever she takes the initiative of her albums, she continues being the greatest inspiration of generations for music, for her talent, love of music and of course her voice that is the best in the industry musical, simply deserves Grammy of the album of the year. the song "maria", "pipe" and "fall in line" are the great highlights of the album and that no matter what musical style she sings, she simply does with love, so it is wonderful. success.

Gotts love her versatility to go from her hip hop beats to her hippy rock and her long preservering ballads. christina has definatly proved herself as an artist and ledged away from cliche "pop" and gone down more intreaging talentfull Rhythm & blues, pop rock, & ballads to show off that voice! well done miss xtina! job wel done ! hot stuff Expand
