    I was soo hyped for this album and i didn't dissapoint me, my favorite album of this year so far. It's a really creative and fun way to do pop and i just love it

    Sucker Punch, the debut album of Sigrid, winner of the BBC Sound of 2018, has finally arrived, and it's one of the most upbeat and anthemic Robyn-channeling albums this year has ever had. Unashamed of expressing vulnerability and imperfection, this is true pop material. No extravagance and over-the-top raunchiness necessary.

    This album is true gold pop, Bublegum pop at all, Sigrid s deliver with her voice is so damn good, but the comercial production in some songs, for me its quite bad

    it's clear that sigrid is one of outstanding acts right now and sucker punch have a proof. it's a pretty accurate pop-record to date which is extremely needed in pop music right now. bright, whirling and dance-ready in the non-electronic Robyn way. it's a celebration of life and self-love, vulnerability of letting someone go transformed into fluid and sparkling pop anthems. sigrid isit's clear that sigrid is one of outstanding acts right now and sucker punch have a proof. it's a pretty accurate pop-record to date which is extremely needed in pop music right now. bright, whirling and dance-ready in the non-electronic Robyn way. it's a celebration of life and self-love, vulnerability of letting someone go transformed into fluid and sparkling pop anthems. sigrid is putting everything she have in her perfomance and bring it to the masses in her own way. that's why her sucker punch is memorable and quite pleasantly painfully for the music industry.… Expand

    A refrescância no som da Sigrid era tudo que a música pop estava precisando ultimamente. Há um pop puro sem o apoio em polêmicas, roupas extravagantes, performances super elaboradas... E a Sigrid faz ele muito bem. Um dos melhores discos do ano, até agora.

    A pretty good debut album from Sigrid, Despite only releasing her first LP now and it featuring some tracks from her Don't Kill My Vibe EP back in 2017, It doesn't change the fact that she is keeping on top of her hype and continuing to deliver is very respectable fashion.

    There are a few tracks to mention here many of which have been heard before such as standout songs like Sucker    A pretty good debut album from Sigrid, Despite only releasing her first LP now and it featuring some tracks from her Don't Kill My Vibe EP back in 2017, It doesn't change the fact that she is keeping on top of her hype and continuing to deliver is very respectable fashion.

    There are a few tracks to mention here many of which have been heard before such as standout songs like Sucker Punch, Strangers, Don't Feel Like Crying and Don't Kill My Vibe.
    Meanwhile, the tracks that are added on here, for the most part, don't feel like filler to simply make an album. Most notably In Vain a very stripped back love song that is captivating from the get-go and a superb performance from Sigrid to say the very least, perhaps my favorite on the entire album, or even her entire Discography to date.
    The only thing I have to mention is that Business Dinners doesn't do anything to the album that adds to it and found it to be nowhere near as good as the rest of the cuts on here and would've much rathered seen Plot Twist on here instead.

    "Sucker Punch" is a very solid pop record, serving as a great debut for Sigrid. It has everything a strong debut should have: raspy but powerful vocals, personal lyricism, polished pop productions, and a delivery that very often oscillates between heartfelt and strong.

    The Norweigan 22-year-old holds her heart on her sleeve on songs like 'Dynamite', which deals with knowing one's worth    "Sucker Punch" is a very solid pop record, serving as a great debut for Sigrid. It has everything a strong debut should have: raspy but powerful vocals, personal lyricism, polished pop productions, and a delivery that very often oscillates between heartfelt and strong.

    The Norweigan 22-year-old holds her heart on her sleeve on songs like 'Dynamite', which deals with knowing one's worth and not apologizing for who you are, and 'In Vain', an album highlight depicting the ending of a relationship through a song that evolves so nicely, and becomes a whole new track in its last minute. The big pop productions also work perfectly with Sigrid: 'Sucker Punch' kicks off the record with a grand electropop vibe, and, along with 'Basic', has one of the most creative bridges of the record (the former's bridge is a vocoder version of the chorus, while the latter's bridge is a guitar-based demo of the chorus that sounds like it was recorded on her phone). Other great songs include 'Business Dinners', which is the most experimental song on the album, and it works perfectly, and 'Never Mine' which sounds like it could've been a great fit on Carly Rae Jepsen's pop-masterpiece 'EMOTION'.

    All in all, "Sucker Punch" is a very solid pop record, and feels like one of those albums that could garner their artist a cult-following.    … Expand

At times it’s like a sunnier version of Lorde’s Pure Heroine and Melodrama; at other times it’s an accomplished mix of early 2000’s pop (glimpses of Natasha Bedingfield and Vanessa Carlton are notable) with the string-heavy dance-pop of the early and mid-2010s. The album is smart, well-written, and creative; save for oneSigrid’s debut album Sucker Punch is a very impressive pop album.     At the beginning seemed like it was an unstable beginner album. As every song ends it can be seen that the sounds, the lyrics and the security of the identity and personality of Sigrid are as solid as the high-ranked artists like Lorde, Lana Del Rey or Tove Lo. A piece of work which can leave the listeners astonished and ashamed of their prejudices. 83/100

There are a number of critics out there who say that this album is "not unique" and therefore give this scores lower than I expected (e.g. NME, you gave Billie Eilish's debut album a 100 but this an 80? Seriously?). Shut up. Did you even listen to the production of it? And Sigrid's voice is f-ing one of a kind, makes me think of 80s pop. I guarantee you rarely would a project put thisLol.     This album is not perfect, ofc, no album is "perfect", but this is a great album, I need to say! Although some songs such as Level Up (my least fav track, the only track that I really do not like) are quite forgettable like I would immediately forget what they sound like after a minute, this is a very solid album overall!

Sigrid packs this album full of joyous celebration, heartfelt emotions, tight and clean production, and meaningful lyrics. Near-perfect pop perfection, however, this causes its downfall as the albumSucker Punch, from Norwegian based artist Sigrid, is a near-perfect pop album.     Sucker Punch es un álbum excelente, de principio a fin todas las canciones son muy buenas, la increíble voz de Sigrid se aprecia bastante bien.
    Es uno de los mejores álbumes del 2019.
    Fav: Bussines Dinners, Mine right now, In vain.

    Generally, it is a nice album. For me it is not anything special, but it is pleasant to listen to. Especially, it will appeal to people who like pop sounds.

Here we can see a star rising and ascending, Sigrid bring to us on your album "Sucker Punch" something we don't have on the pop in actual days, your voice isn't the same you can hear everywhere, your pop it's something really great to hear again and again, press the repeat on Spotify, this young girl deserves your attention. There's One thing I need to confirm: This young and beautiful artist will still surprise us, so, keep your eyes on this young singer, she have more to show for us.

    Sigrid em seu álbum de debut escreveu uma das mais maiores obras-primas do pop. Em minha opinião, o melhor do pop desse ano até agora, Sucker Punch mostra em letras simples e sinceras que o pop não precisa de sofisticação e complexabilidade para ser um pop 'classudo'. O álbum contém referências do pop e baladas românticas dos anos 80, o que é uma surpresa para os dias atuais onde o popSigrid em seu álbum de debut escreveu uma das mais maiores obras-primas do pop. Em minha opinião, o melhor do pop desse ano até agora, Sucker Punch mostra em letras simples e sinceras que o pop não precisa de sofisticação e complexabilidade para ser um pop 'classudo'. O álbum contém referências do pop e baladas românticas dos anos 80, o que é uma surpresa para os dias atuais onde o pop está completamente no abismo. Além dessas referências, o Sucker Punch apresenta uma bagagem boa de outros artistas e é um álbum CRU e que mostra a voz única dessa cantora que merece mais reconhecimento.… Expand

    Simplesmente um álbum com faixas contendo boas letras, boas melodias e bons vocais da artista. Um trabalho bem feito que demonstra o quão talentosa essa artista é e que ela terá um grande futuro na indústria musical.

    Sigrid con su álbum debut, Sucker Punch, llegó a renovar lo que se creía de la música pop moderna. Sus canciones nos recuerdan que el pop puede ser divertido y alegre, pero al mismo tiempo melancólico y creativo.

    Um álbum consistente, com excelentes letras e melodias contagiantes. Ótimo para ouvir em qualquer ocasião, em especial viagens longas de carro (experiência própria). Os refrões de todas as faixas são facilmente assimilados, o que te faz começar a canta-los antes mesmo de compreender a música. Simplesmente contagiante!

    Es sin duda uno de los mejores álbumes debut de este 2019, una prueba excelente de que el arte no va de la mano con el éxito (lamentablemente). las líricas y sonidos reflejan el buen gusto y talento de Sigrid

    realmente es un buen álbum debut, las canciones son buenas, algunas movidas y otras más lentas para escuchar luego de un gran día agotador. sin embargo, siento el concepto algo flojo, aún así sigrid lo supo manejar. algunas canciones se parecen, pero no lo suficiente. mis canciones favoritas son sucker punch, strangers, level up y don't kill my vibe

    It makes for a strong debut in more than one sense, and moments like "Dynamite" indicate that the strong personal stamp puts on her songs doesn't equal out into being one-dimensional or un-self-aware. It's a pretty killer combination.

    The story of a young female songwriter pushing back against the sexist songwriters on her major label and modern pop’s oppressive beauty standards is an impressive one. The cautious Sucker Punch could do with more of that insurrectionist spirit.

    It’s certainly an assured debut, impeccably written and produced in a way that captures the singer as both youthful and soulful. Her voice is light and airy, with her distinctive vowel sounds giving a fresh spin to even the simplest of lyrics.
