    Ok, so I understand that "Sucker" is a new ERA for Charli XCX. However, the sound is drastically different from an album she released only a year ago... This review is based on personal taste, (obviously)but my ears just aren't digging the sound of her current ERA....True Romance was plenty dancy and fun without sounding obnoxious like Sucker does. Sorry Boo, but I couldn't really stand toOk, so I understand that "Sucker" is a new ERA for Charli XCX. However, the sound is drastically different from an album she released only a year ago... This review is based on personal taste, (obviously)but my ears just aren't digging the sound of her current ERA....True Romance was plenty dancy and fun without sounding obnoxious like Sucker does. Sorry Boo, but I couldn't really stand to listen to the new stuff. I Immediately went to re-visit True Romance which appeals to my ears much more... Thanks, but no thanks..     Terrible album and I can't believe that the girl who made it released wonderful True Romance JUST A YEAR BEFORE. Sucker is dumb, childish and I can't choose what I find more embarrassing, lyrics or music. This album is more cheap and cheesy thań Avril Lavigne mixed with early Britney Spears.

    I saw Charli XCX on a late night show (I think Conan?) and she was so hot. At first, I thought some bubblegum pop schlock was what they were about, but she is a really cool singer with hot lyrics and her music, done by all female band members, made me wanna get up and dance. Yeah, this is one of the hottest bands out there now!!!

    This album is nothing short of fantastic. With a pop-punk sensibility and a brash warble Charli delivers on all levels. One of the best albums of 2014. A great way to end a year of conventional cookie-cutter pop.

    Haters should stay away from her, SUCKER is an awesome album who represents all her ideas and concepts with some great pop-punk songs. Paws up for "Doing It", "Breaking Up" and "Die Tonight".

    Be the pop, punk or the lyrics, Charli XCX always yields to easier in most cases. Could have been better, so she could not prove that women are capable of everything (we already know that), but to show that it could be a different voice in the vastness of disposable pop. Sucker shows us that she can differentiate and write great songs and instrumental
    Doing It and I Need Your Luv are the best ..

    It really doesn't look like the first album by Avril Lavigne. Charli XCX said that the people that liked "True Romance", will dislike "Sucker"... It's true and I'm talking the truth. Charli should do something better.

People are giving low notes just because Sucker isn't like True Romance, and it's true, but Sucker isn't bad because of it. It's actually great. So go **** yourself.

But, if you like songs with a loaded with personality, incredible hooks, and intriguing production, look no further. 'Sucker' is Charli's pop-queen coming out party and it's sugary hooks are more than satisfying. 'True Romance' sounded like Charli was trying a little    Pop-punk has never sounded shinier.

    If an artist has to do the same kind of song that once was made to please its fans I think there's something really wrong. Charli's SUCKER is an outstanding new work and style.

    Someone needed to author the aural equivalent of the body shot, and Charli XCX has provided the platonic ideal of just that: a party album charged equally with punkish rebellion, hip-hop cool, and pop universality.

    A really good pop rock album mimicking the 80's with all the glitzy, glamorous and wild fun emanating from the pretty good guitar work (for a pop star), and the brattiness of Charli XCX herself. It is a must-own album.

    This is definitely the best pop album of 2014. Inspired by 80's rock and pop music, the result is a pop-"punk" album that sounds amazing, and the **** lyrics are amazing too. My favorite album this year, to be honest.

    Simplely the best 2014 album for me. INCREDIBLE, songs like 'Need Ur Luv' and 'Body Of My Own' show us that SUCKER is only art.
    Sucker is better than True Romance because in this new age of Charli she can change our minds about pop and phunk music.

The only reason people know this talentless chick is cause she gets featured on garbage songs like "Fancy" and "I Love It".

For her 2nd LP, 'Sucker', she's still at the top of her game. The album is pure pop-rock with electronic beats and slaying guitars. There's no denying it's catchy as hell. ButThere's no denying that Charli XCX is one of the brightest names of 2014, with 'Fancy', 'Boom Clap' and the last-year 'I Love It', she proved she is strong enough to crack into the american top 40, and even top it. For her 2nd LP, 'Sucker', she's still at the top of her game. The album is pure pop-rock with electronic beats and slaying guitars. There's no denying it's catchy as hell. But most of it is forgettable a bit. Standouts include: Boom Clap; Breaking Up; London Queen; Famous (probably, the best song on the album); and Caught in the Middle.     This album shows the evolution of Charli XCX, with strong songs about girl power, your own happiness and etc. While with True Romance you cried, with SUCKER you dance in every single song. An album full of hits. Her songs might be different, but come on, give it a try and stop thinking about True Romance. TRUE ROMANCE ERA IS OVER. WELCOME TO SUCKER.

    I was not expecting the album be this good AT ALL! Such a solid record with amazing lyrics and references. And I also loved how she combined punk influences with 80's dance pop and made it sound organic and fresh. 'Sucker' is a big step up from her debut album.

    As a die-hard Charli fan, I seriously don't understand why older fans are not into this album. This is 100% Charli. The lyrics are not full of deep meaning, but she obviously didn't have the pretension to go there. This is an album to have fun and dance like there's no tomorrow. All of the songs are perfectly crafted to a crazy bubblegum party. The title track "Sucker" embodies all theAs a die-hard Charli fan, I seriously don't understand why older fans are not into this album. This is 100% Charli. She was truly comitted to not catching up with preconceived ideas and formulas to achieve success, which is awesome, since most indie artists go that way to become mainstream. In sum, as a very young girl exploring different music scenes, Charli sure hit the spot with her sophomore album and is going to keep us wondering what her next project will sound like.… Expand

    With many people saying how 'she's possibly onto something' what with its pop-teen punk vibe I would happily agree in some cases that Sucker most definitely is. Simultaneously, for me, it feels mostly like a bog standard pop album, catchy at times, yet not fully to my taste. Looks in some cases like there's something new to party for though.

    Charli me surpreendeu com esse álbum, considero muito superior ao True Romance. Uma mistura pop-rock que se destaca com sua produção sincera e absurdamente diferente de tudo na indústria. Destaque para "Sucker (song)", "Doing It" e "Caught in the Middle". Realmente Charli XCX é a grande promessa da música pop.

Sucker was pretty dumb but I figured that was okay since it's the intro track. the next song I felt up unto the drop. I loved the melody! She did it right! But when the transition fully climaxed it dropped into a weird 80s Australian soundingCharli xcx is a **** sucker.     This album solidifies Charli's reputation as an artist who truly understands how to make excellent pop music. Sucker is smart, emotional, raw and fun. XCX has crafted what is easily the best pop album of 2014.

    Her True Romance - Sucker transformation is something amazing, it's like The Family Jewels - Electra Heart of Marina and the Diamonds, but this transformation is way better, but we're here for hear the album that goes with this transformation and its AWESOME! Both the lyrics and the beats are really catchy. The only song that I didn't like so much was "Red Balloon" but hey, it's stillHer True Romance - Sucker transformation is something amazing, it's like The Family Jewels - Electra Heart of Marina and the Diamonds, but this transformation is way better, but we're here for hear the album that goes with this transformation and its AWESOME!     I really like this album, but I prefer True Romance. The pop-punk sounds here are beautiful but in some songs it's annoying :| Lyrics are nice in some songs, for ex. Need Ur Luv and terrible in others, for ex. Doing It. My personal opinion.

    When I pre-ordered this album, I actually wasn't expecting much but I ended up being pleasantly surprised. If you're a dancer or like music when exercising, this album is for you.

Charli se joga nesse mundo mais "adolescente".     Definitely Charli XCX is here to stay, and SUCKER proves she says seriously. Charli shows that it is not only an artist of the moment they can use to successful collaborations, but can do much more. SUCKER is the perfect combination of themes like love, sex, drugs and other things. Even breakups can be fun in SUCKER. Charli is a star that is worth listening to.

It's a very solid second album (or third, if you count her minor first album) Strong elements of rock and some pop define the record, although it can be tiring to constantly listen to her voice. Most of the time her voice isn't a single voice, there are layers of voices beneath it. After a while, it gets irritating at times.

    Sucker is definitely a departure from True Romance, but Charli's sassy attitude is still written all over it. This is a fast-paced, high energy album that commands attention right from the start and keeps you tapping your toes for the next 40 minutes. The most impressive thing to me is Charli's songwriting skills. She is seriously a force to be reckoned with, especially with songs likeSucker is definitely a departure from True Romance, but Charli's sassy attitude is still written all over it.     I love this album, is pure punk pop, charli has an attitute **** sounds so aggressive and crazy, totally different from the true romance that has an electronic footprint and cyberpunk but that does not make the least good sucker, this album is perfect.

With her unique atmospheric form of write Charli XCX express herself as an artist and a woman that can give the battle and celebrate her life like is no tomorrow.     Her smart songwriting is not as mainstream and straightforward as Taylor Swift's ability to write hits. But it's still fresh in tracks like "Boom Clap", "Breaking up", "London Queen" and "Famous", combining electric guitars, raw synths, drum machines and streetwise wit in the lyrics. Now I am begining to think that it's not fresh or smart, it's just British! Her vocals are not impressive,Her smart songwriting is not as mainstream and straightforward as Taylor Swift's ability to write hits. But it's still fresh in tracks like "Boom Clap", "Breaking up", "London Queen" and "Famous", combining electric guitars, raw synths, drum machines and streetwise wit in the lyrics. Now I am begining to think that it's not fresh or smart, it's just British! Her vocals are not impressive, but her tone is distinctive and that's the case in the music industry today. You are not supposed to sound like the new Whitney or the new Christina, you are just supposed to sound like... yourself?

    When I was on Katy Perry's tour Charli supported her. This way I met other songs form the album.

    Pop punk melodies give appeals to her voice.
    My only unfavorable song: "Need Ur Love"
    My favorite tracks: "Sucker" , "Break The Rules" , "London Queen" , "Doing It" , "Body Of My Own" , "Famous" and "Die Tonight".
    Summing I would give 9 points but I'm giving 10 because of the urge for experiments with the music.    … Expand

    A brilliant album that transports us to the 80s. Charli succeeds "True Romance" in a mature way, so that it may not please many for its commercial appeal, but it is therefore an excellent pop music album. Charli XCX doesn't want to follow standards, she just wants to break the rules.

    Comecei a ouvir Charli por Sucker e não me arrependo nem um pouco. Sou suspeita a falar mas acho esse o melhor album dela até agora. O pop feito em Sucker é cativante, dançante e quiçá nostálgico pra galera que curte músicas dos anos 80 e 90.
