This album is what it sounds like when you have vocal mastery and instrumental mastery and composition mastery paired with beautiful taste.

Funky, groovy, but doesn't feel trapped in the past in a way albums with this sound often do. Tennis has done it again!

Amazing package of songs. Every track was built with a nostalgic feeling, by far one of the best albums of the year , and one of the best of tennis career. Definitely worth the play .

Swimmer and a few other songs hint at what could have been, only to have the other half of the album play it safe. If only more of Tennis' songs took risks on unexpected palettes of emotion and drew from more complex poetic wells, then they might provide us with something special. Instead, they've created another enjoyable, if a bit rote and predictable album, like a relationship drifting into comfortable and boring domestic habits.

Swimmer is mostly sweet and personable. Any listener who’s followed Moore and Riley for five albums running is probably somewhat invested in their relationship, and once again, they’ve rewarded that interest.

Thanks to the life the duo breathed into the album with their dedication and passion, Swimmer should keep fans on their toes for sure.
