This **** absolute bomb. Perfect and the greatest album of all time. I can’t decide what’s better - the guitars or the lyrics.

A pretty well written album overall, I had no skips throughout the album, but it had much more potential. This is by far the best Blink-182 album, but I wish it wasn’t!! My most favorite track is “Every Time I Look For You.” 7/10

simply a great punk rock album that describes the top blink quality they were trying to reach and would try to repeat "failing" since Tom left twice.
following that same formula that worked in this album wouldn't worked

Take Off Your Pants & Jacket is an example of doing the same sound as your previous effort but making it less interesting. Honestly, the praise and acclaim this album gets is baffling to me.

My second favourite blink album behind 'Enema of the State'. Released when Blink still did fast paced, fun songs before Tom Delonge went a little nuts and started wanting to be Bono.

I truly love the guitar and drums used in these songs, and Mark Hoppus' voice is so unique and idiosyncratic. My favorites on this album are “First Date” and “Anthem Part 2” because of the guitar riffs they use. They are completely and utterly talented artists with boundless amounts of great songs. This is definitely a band worth listening to. Expand

I love this album. It's blink-182 matured just enough to let in new fans whilst not disrespecting the old ones. Standouts include Story of a Lonely Guy and Stay Together For the Kids.

A nice transition from Enema of the State. There's still the poop jokes that feel like leftovers from its predecessors, but there's some mature work here with (one of my personal favorites) "Stay Together For The Kids." Fans who expect them to keep making records like EOTS and Cheshire Cat, might as well go listen to Weird Al records.

Stay Together For The Kids works as an anthem for kids that have been suffering from their parents arguing or divorce. The rest of the album is forgettable. Sure, some credit could be given to Anthem, Part Two (they couldn't come up with a different name?) for trying to come up with an attempt for youth but the chorus is predictable and instead of trying to make a statement, we are reminded of Tom Delonge's limited vocal range. It's annoying to listen. 'Give me one good reason' seems to not celebrate their fans uniqueness and their daring attitude to go against the norms, but to bash anyone that is different to the Blink 182 fans That track alone destroyed any positives this album had going for it, and placed Blink 182 as one of the most annoying bands in recent rock history. This may be the best blink 182 cd out there. It is the quintessential punk cd of the 90's-00's. Every song on the cd is great and this is the last cd to have a "dirty" song on it. Which is ok because they out grew their juvenile image. A must have for any blink fan or punk fan.

I know a lot about blink 182, and I can say that this album followed his classic light-fast-melodious method, that destroyed the music shops with Enema of the State, and the style that I love. So, why am I not giving it a 10? Because this guys are about 25 when they recorded this. The MUSIC is excellent, some LYRICS are horrible, even if can be funny. For example, First Date. I love the music, but the lyrics are obnoxious. Sadly, the critics of this album destroyed the band, causing the apparition of blink 182 (self-titled). 1. High on boyish charm and low on moral fiber, Blink's songs have all the lyrical depth of a whoopee cushion.
  2. The band work so hard at it, and the music is such processed sounding mainstream rock played fast, that the album becomes a paradox: adolescent energy and rebellion made joyless.
  3. They don't mess around much outside their tessitura - they like to keep everything light, fast and punchy.
