    Foxygen has made something that reaches out for so many possibilities it ends up reverting inward, ultimately sounding insular, like a highway of endlessly firing synapses in someone elses' brain.

    Foxygen haven't so much produced memorable songs as much as cool, disembodied sonic layers that might one day coalesce into memorable songs in your head if you listen to it enough.

    If you enjoy odd, experimental albums, then Take the Kids Off Broadway might be the best thing to happen to you all year. Every track could easily be considered at least three songs wrapped together. And with these ambitiously chaotic compositions accompanied by poignant and witty lyrics, Foxygen has made an album that is just as intelligent as it is fun, a grand accomplishment. Beyond being just experimental, the album has a center rooted in 60's psychedelic rock and every track on the album illustrates this amidst the wild changes that occur frequently within songs. "Make It Known" and the title track are probably the best two songs, but the other five are not far behind.… Full Review »
