Aug 19, 2018Weird voice and an LP that is pleasant but not outstanding. I saw a little singer-songwriter with electronic touches here and there and a Folk bulk.

Jan 4, 2018Wonderfully eclectic album that I have found myself playing over and over again. Rothman's voice channels Mark Hollis meets Leonard Cohen meets Arthur Russell. The lyrics have a sadness and depth i have not heard in a long while. Bravo!

Nov 27, 2017Ultimately, listeners who can embrace the idiosyncrasies of Rothman's voice and the throwback production (don't miss the Kristin Kontrol track, "Jordan," for that niche Casio-and-saxophone sound) will find an intriguing if hit-and-miss set of underlying songs with strokes of classic Brill Building and sophisti-pop.
