You're all fools...These guys were "punk" less than 2 years ago...Do some homework on them. Their 'feud' with The Killers is irrelevant. Of course the guy in the Killers is a jerk. Doesn't mean these guys aren't jumping on an already irritating bandwagon. Boring, predictable and lyrically sterile.

People need to quit trying to compare this to the Killers. While the hint of 80's alternative is the backdrop, and the production is reasonably polished, the two bands sound very different. I cannot help but think many of the reviews are by people that have not really listened to the whole album. There are only a couple of tracks that feel like filler, and the rest are beautifully arranged and styled songs the elicit emotion. These guys are the to the neo-80's "scene" (Interpol, British Sea Power, The Killers, Franz Ferdinand, Bloc Party, etc.) what Stone Temple Pilots were to the grunge "scene" of the early 90's -- bandwagon jumpers looking to cash in on a trend. STP managed to evolve and put together enough decent songs to fill a greatest hits album. The Bravery would be lucky to make it that far.

Wow. When I heard their first release "An Honest Mistake" I immediately loved it and I set out to hear the rest of their tunes. Let's just remember that the Strokes and the White Stripes were the ones who paved the way, The Killers just went a little more mainstream, and their songs seem like nothing next to The Bravery. I LOVE The Killers, but I love The Bravery's gritty sound. Its a little different. Their album is AMAZING. All the songs are great. Although Honest Mistake and Unconditional are two of the catchiest songs 2005 has heard so far, the album as a whole is far from remarkable - and displays a laziness that one expects to hear at the end of a hot new musical movement, rather than the beginning.

Ok, this is one of those typical major releases that has potential great singles, but forgettable album tracks. Unconditional, No Brakes, Tyrant are unbelievably catchy and yes The Bravery rips off 80s post punk new wave better than the The Killers, but songs like Public Service Announcement remind you that this is a major studio release indented to get the mall kids into this stuff.
