This album is different to the first but still uniquely The Jezabels. Great Aussie band and there's no one else like them. Brilliant album don't listen to the 'critics'

This is wishy-washy music for moody goth-lite teens. [Apr 2014, p.112]

The Jezabels are a talented collective, but I find their latest set half as compelling as it could have been. The Brink remains grounded when it should soar.

The electro-pop melodies are as stellar as they were on Prisoner, but the backdrops are more graceful and subdued, more elegant, and less exuberant. [Feb/Mar 2014, p.72]
