It's a great masterpiece, since "Page Avenue", and "The Black Swan" (too bad they're not on Metacritic). "I'm Alive" & "To The Burial" was the best & perfect track, I've ever heard... But incase, if you got bored, try listen to those two's great album...

After two post-debut albums, I've come to accept that Story Of The Year probably won't put out something as catchy as "Page Avenue", and I'm okay with that. "The Constant" finds a nice place between its first and "In The Wake Of Determination". It's a record filled with hard energy, political commentary, and illumination. Marsala's vocals do not disappoint, and neither does the rest ofAfter two post-debut albums, I've come to accept that Story Of The Year probably won't put out something as catchy as "Page Avenue", and I'm okay with that. There isn't much diversity between songs but they're still good and they're different from The Black Swan. If you like Story of the Year then you will enjoy this album but it isn't groundbreaking.

  1. While Story of the Year won't win any originality awards any time soon, they definitely still know how to bring a party to your speakers.

On The Constant, SOTY have shown they've mastered their current sound. Here's hoping for a little more experimentation next time. [Mar 2010, p.95]
  3. The Constant does what it says on the, er, CD; constantly good, but with more focus it could have been brilliant.
