I'm not a fan of auto-tune but they are definitely the best artist to use auto-tune. A great album.

This album showcases the best of The Black Eyed Peas talent, and contains their best tracks yet. Filled with hard-hitting electronic beats, this album has perhaps only one or two let downs. Highly recommended, this album is the best from the BEP's, and I believe, the best Mainstream album of its time.

I mean even the words are not enough to describe how good this album is.
Huge synths + amazing lines and joyful tunes.
Even Black Eyed Peas can't top this album.Their greatest work

In my opinion, BEP really hasn't been producing music with substance since Elephunk (and even that's a stretch). If that's what you were expecting - well, it just wasn't going to happen. Sure, none of these songs are gonna be remembered in a couple years, but it's fun right now, and I love it. I'm still debating whether I like auto-tune or not... I don't think it quite works, considering BEP should focus on better rap in their songs. Expand

I actually am very happy with the new BEP album. Ithink it steps up the game from their previous efforts. It is definitely an all-out in your face pop album. Great beats, thoughtful lyrics and Fergi-Ferg. What more could you want for a summer playlist?

Though lyrically terrible, the music makes you move and want to dance. Definitely the best album from the band, even though it doesn't showcase the best of Fergie.

I think it's one of the best albums from 2009 and may it's their best album. It's pleasing to the ear. Some of them are really party songs and there are some slowlier songs too. It convinced me! I got this album and I recommend it to everyone!

Don't listen to Micheal H. about the lyrics, while some songs do have bad lyrics others have great ones like One Tribe, Boom Boom Pow, I Gotta Felling, and a few more of their songs.

I loved it, out of all the songs (15) I liked 9 which for me is a lot seeing as how I usually only like about 3-5. Whats wrong with the people giving it anything less than a 7.

Definitely when you listen to all the tracks, you realize that the ENERGY NEVER DIES. All the tracks are awesome, but i'm surprised because Imma Be could reach the top of the U.S. Billboard 200 and Rock That Body couldn't.

I'm not sure what all of the negativity is around this album. When I can put a CD in an listen to it and it makes me feel better about my day then it's a win. I love the 2 disc version of the album, guess it will be my own guilty pleasure.

The E.N.D. is a very good album indeed. It is produced decently. My only concern is Fergie's rapping. She has a decent voice, I would've just kept her to singing her pretty little voice off. Will.i.am makes the jump from traditional hip hop to electronic sound; and he excels. The E.N.D is their best yeat. The rhymes aren't dull and the beats are fresh. Although many faithful are upset on the jump, this still finishes with a good feeling left in you.

If the French (the people who gave the world Daft Punk and Air) substantially approve of this, then how could you not get your groove on with this music?

'The E.N.D.' album benefits from an amazing production. At the first listening we could think will.i.am has done an immeasurable work here, but I would rather point out apl.de.ap's part. I mean all of the tracks of the first half of 'the E.N.D.' are perfect the way it sounds. Black Eyed Peas tried to explore more and more genres like rock and electronic. And it works out well for them ! Fergie's voice is smartly used and brings more depth or energy to this album. Her voice is clealry complementary to will.i.am's dragging voice. She can be powerful (as in 'Now Generation' or in 'Missing You'), she can also rap (as in 'Electric City') or even be really melodious (as in 'Meet Me Halfway' or in 'Alive').
This Black Eyed Peas' album oozes their influences. We can, for example, ear an interpolation of 'What?' from A Tribe Called Quest in 'Rockin To the Beat'. I still think 'The E.N.D' misses one or more featurings with talented artists, as they chose to do so in 'Monkey Business'. No need to speak about lyrics because we all unfortunately know they are at 'Black Eyed Peas' level... Some songs just remain in mainstream pop register.
Its accessibility, production, frenzied tempos and the voices of will.i.am and Fergie make 'The E.N.D.' an album that has not aged and will remain in the archives of pop culture.

  1. The E.N.D. (Energy Never Dies) is a mess of pop/dance/rap crossover.
  2. Group mastermind will.i.am's attempt at social commentary on 'Now Generation' comes off more like an ''I just got DSL!'' laundry list. But when the group's glitchy future-funk beats sync up with Fergie's unabashedly feminine melodies, as on the sweetly insidious 'Meet Me Halfway,' they find pure Top 40 nirvana.
  3. Most of The E.N.D. doesn't ask too much from those fans. Its more substantive musical and thematic statements are interrupted by many others showing the Peas' deep, deep commitment to a good party.
