The midtempo melodrama puts more big wins on the board than not.

Even if every track here isn't quite as inspired as this song, or the music from the first movie, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire is a solidly entertaining soundtrack.

All in all, this soundtrack is a solid collection of B-level material from a varied selection of artists.

Phil Collins has retired, but his legacy endures in the new Hunger Games soundtrack, which channels his recipe for Eighties melodrama: synth strings, croaked vocals, crashing drums.

Picked by music supervisor Alexandra Patsavas, the second volume has a lot of good makeout songs and just as many calls for courage.

The album's old-guard pros sadly don't lend much more to the proceedings than their younger counterparts.

Some of the tracks do not fit with the movie's theme, specifically its choice of genre and artists.
While the soundtrack lack many highlights and it did not follow how good the previous soundtrack is, some of the tracks in The Hunger Games: Catching Fire Soundtrack should not be skipped without having a first listen at least and this soundtrack is a worth a buy for the fans of the trilogy.

    Highlight: Atlas and We Remain.
Personal Favorites: Atlas and Elastic Heart.
