When the band dabbles in more disruptive sounds that deviate from A Black Mile to the Surface, the effect is fresh and exciting. ... The remainder of the album, however, is composed mostly of midtempo songs that all similarly build to predictable climaxes.

I believe they are doing things on a different level. Opening track “Inaudible” the production and catchy vocals instantly drew me in, heavenly choir voices/harmonies. Other highlights: “Obstacle”,my favorite track on the album, we hear Andy hit some out of character high notes that surprised me, and were worth the effort. Hearing Hull branch out and try new things (as simple as they seem) was a huge pleasure to hear. “Angel of death” was also a favorite of mine. Point is I cannot say enough nice things about this album, I cannot stop jumping in the car and bringing up Spotify to listen through again. Excellent work. Full Review »
