The Nude Party does everything right in capturing a certain irreverent spirit here, including emphatic vocals and catchy songs about not only war, but astral planes, record shops, and ignoring advice to get a real job.

All 11 tracks hold tight musically through a lackadaisical charisma, capturing the sonic telepathy of six longtime buds in their early 20s.

There is a sprawling synthesis in the groove-tinted, riff-centric jams that will have you waiting to see these guys live.

The Nude Party isn't going to blow any minds with its uniqueness. Their classic rock influences are all well-trod territory, but their songwriting is very good and they vary their '60s touchstones just enough to make the album lively and fun.

This feels like the band’s fifth album, not their first, and that’s an enormous compliment. They blow the roof off but do it with style and class, nodding to the past without slavishly imitating it.

It's a carbon copy of early Rolling Stones.

Meaning, it's the twin of "Out of Our Heads."

But man oh man do they do an excellent job of copying.
