Minaj’s latest release is a complicated being, one that might never sit easy, but the layers she provides for the listener to peel through provide for an engaging and ultimately satisfying experience.
Nicki is more personal, more timeless and more connected to her own artistry here, serving some of the most superlative work of her established career on The Pinkprint.
This is a big step forward for the genre, and makes one wish that Minaj's content could be as good as her form, that more attention was paid to crafting complex rhymes and less on floating through halfway conceived tracks in a sing-song burble. Yet even if she hasn't fully nailed the balance between her different modes, at least Minaj is doing something challenging, offering a third different approach on her third album.
For the most part, though, this seems like a step in the wrong direction: a Nicki Minaj album from somebody who’s thoroughly fed up of being Nicki Minaj.

In contrast with her previous records, fans may surprised by what they find. She experimentally plays a different style and direction lead to diversity of this album. Every single one of the tracks sounds promising and good that this plays like a 'Greatest Hits' package.
The best of the best is Pills n Potions, a slow piano ballad which proved her credibility in delivery both pop and hip hop. Her writing successfully portrayed her true expression, emotion and turn this song into a work of art. Besides, Anaconda, her novelty smash brings genius lyrics with irresistible beats that will be quoted for years to come.
There are some classic tracks here including I Lied and All Thing Go that we got to hear them at their best. Overall, this will be her best work to date but there's a lot of rooms to explore in producing a very cohesive and solid album. To sum up, the album is a notch away from what the fans expect but it's a step towards the singer attracting new fans and without a doubt she made it successfully.…Expand

Earning herself public attentionWhen it comes to Onika Tanya Maraj, better known by her stage name, Nicki Minaj, there's always controversy. Earning herself public attention after releasing three mix-tapes between 2007-09, Minaj signed a contract with Young Money Entertainment shortly after. Her debut studio album was Pink Friday (2010), which quickly peaked at number-one on the U.S. Billboard Hot 200. Whether it be her outrages outfits, or her bold lyrics, the Trinidadian-born American rapper and songwriter is no stranger to criticism. However, with the release of her 2014 album, The PinkPrint, Minaj has really silenced the haters.
The PinkPrint is clearly Nicki's most creative album, containing songs that make listeners feel every type of emotion. One of her most notable singles ever, “Anaconda,” is featured on this album and is highly praised. Minaj really gets back to her hip-hop roots with this single, and she brings back a side of her that many fans missed. A lesser-known party song included on this album, “Trini Dem Girls”, incorporates a Caribbean styled-groove, and is truly a banger. Minaj also features other legendary rappers on this album like Drake and Lil Wayne in her songs “Truffle Butter” and “Only”. “Pills N Potions” is a slow song featured on the album, it's emotional and personal, a fresh new twist guaranteed to please any fan, and make them feel connected to Minaj herself. However, had this album included 12 songs as opposed to 22, it could have had a much bigger impact and perhaps even have became a classic. Despite this minor flaw, though, The PinkPrint is truly a masterpiece, and the queen of rap has really outdone herself this time.
Overall, I would rate this album a 9. Minaj has shown tremendous growth as a rapper , her performance was much better in this album then in Pink Friday and Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded. With more meaningful lyrics, a more diverse range of songs and styles, The PinkPrint is sure to have something for every listener.…Expand

That's because the album is a masterpiece, it is a big thing, but just like Drake's VIEWS, this is on crossover from rap to pop. I am in need to talk about the lyrics. The lyrics are really good, and Nicki is a brilliant songwriter. The production of the album is something new, and I can definetly say that this is a big step of the woman on the rap/Hip-Hop industry…Expand
