Another great album from Curren$y, consistency is the word with this guy. With only one or two tracks falling short of the mark it's a great listen from start to finish. He changes it up a little this time around, going out of his comfort zone on tracks like "Chasin Paper" and "Fast Cars Faster Women" and it works....brilliantly actually. If you have liked anything the dude has released in the last few years then you will enjoy The Stoned Immaculate, that being said it doesn't quite live up to previous efforts such as Pilot Talk & Covert Coup. Undoubtedly a large variety of arrangement or a bit "exaggerated" samples - such as an oriental-psychedelic "Armoire" - cause that the album seems to be a little clumsy, but overall is more than an hourly position that's worth its price. His lyrics are on mixed level and he often need hunger's flow, but beats are definitely on point and so at least from this point of view he filled my expectations! Fair major debut.

The Stoned Immaculate may not see Curren$y catapulting to new levels of lyricism, but the N'awlins native's wordplay is still high-- grade on the mic. [#253, p.89]

"The Stoned Immaculate" is a perfect 2012 example of what I call hip-hop's Marijuana Mood Music era. Beautiful production through [sic] results in a gentle buzz, a mellow aural high that's relaxing and refreshing.

It's a contented celebration of success with weed as the indisputable toasting substance of choice. The sound is bigger, with more detail, exhibiting more confidence to experiment.
