Wow, this album is terrible. Even the singles from this album are mediocre ("Wake Me Up") or just awful ("Hey Brother"). In truth, the only reason I do not give this album a zero is that I have to commend Avicii on taking a big risk by releasing an album full of tracks that mash together folk and dance. However, the mashing should never sound like they are literally mashed together, since this album sounds like David Guetta and Mumford and Sons competing for attention by trying to play louder than each other. Hopefully he can improve on his next release, as I would hate to see this experimentalism be wasted like it is on True. Expand

He's a **** his stupid tracks are useless, only good for those who doesn't love music, for those listening to music casually one day per month while sharing one earphone with a friend.
What the **** is wrong with people paying for his records? I can't save one of his tracks, they're all horrible.
He's a ****in' dickhead, one of the biggest dirty ****er in the field of music, but definitely not a dullard, not a stupid, since he found a way to make lots of money.

The tracks are terrible and only repetitive. The songs are so similar to each other that you think he only made the album for money, and money is what he got for this crap. People that have no musical tastes love this album because of that and therefore it got so famous.

Avicii's music is only a joke.

Another major disappointment for 2013, which with this album and Blurred Lines two of the worst for a long time. This was a pure ear sore and one you should not listen to. A Miss.

True is an album that takes one type of music and moulds it into something completely different, allowing Avicii to cement himself as one of the best DJs in the world.

Don’t see True as the album in which dance music imports the sounds of the American heartland into the club in hopes of digging up new audiences, or even new ideas; see it as the one in which country takes its place front and center in global pop.

No one demonstrates the artist-as-cash-machine ethos better, as the mechanical churn of commerce rings loudly on each and every track.
