Summary:The duo of Walter Becker and Donald Fagen return after a 20-year hiatus, with this Grammy-winning comeback album sounding as if they had never left.
Becker and Fagen seem to have found their happy place during the recording of Two Against Nature. And as it's presented on this extremely infectious collection, their joy is contagious.

This is just a masterpiece. After 20 years Steely Dan had maintained their creativity. I cant praise this album enough. With tracks like “Jack of Speed” to the groovy title track “Two against Nature”, this album is just incredible. Such an amazing work of art. SD could never make an album with one bad track. And this is their best example of that, every song has such fluidity and fits in with the theme of the album so imaginatively. Alongside Aja and The Royal Scam this my favorite of their albums and is their Masterpiece.…Expand

They were as important an American band as their was in the 70's to be sure. I'd almost rate this an 8, but while I don't like it as much as Fagen's "the Nightfly", it is a great one to be sure. Morph the Cat is fine too, whilst the one that followed this is only good.…Expand

An all time classic here, and bit of jazz fusion jamming there resulting in an overall satisfactory result. On "Two Against Nature" we have too much self indulgence and not enough at all of the good I associate with Steely Dan. There are maybe one or two decent songs to be fair and you have to hold your hand up to the technical ability on show on this record but for the most part when "Two Against Nature" isn't frustrating you then it's boring you.…Expand

Flat and uninspired. We waited 20 yrs.......for this? ugh. I've listened and been a huge fan from Day 1, but on the whole, this was incredibly disappointing.…Expand
