We're all closer to comprehending, thanks to this absolutely brilliant piece of modern musical art. [Sep 2011, p.116]

The songs are fun, intimate, personal, and at times simply epic.
  3. So sit back and grab a bag of popcorn, because Vacation is chock-full of aural acrobatics rolled up into its withered plaid sleeves. You just have to be daring enough to push that button.

Although Bomb the Music Industry! may not have laid waste to the music business with this record, they have made an incredibly enjoyable listen that is clearly a product of talented musicians who love their craft.

While I can't rate this as highly as I hoped I'd be able to, a song like "Felt Just Like Vacation" seems like what this band is and has always been, different though it is.

Nevertheless, Vacation is an all-around solid effort, undeniably fun and would serve nicely as a soundtrack for the rest of summer.

One of my favorite bands, they have endeared themselves to me by composing heartfelt punk rock songs with longer textured structures and many instruments to clever miserable lyrics. this effort is as punk rock as Jets To Brazil. nominally only and hearkens back to the radio rock my vision of their sound's predecessors were trying to lampoon. simply put it's too poppy without a bit of a kick or crunch Expand
