"We Slept At Last" is a good album to listen to when you need to relax and take all easy to do something better. It is amazing and heavenly! Marika Hackman's voice sound so calm and dramatic and at the same time so powerful and ironic... I really loved this one.

Favorite tracks: "Drown", "Skin" and "Animal Fear".

Gostei do álbum. Achei fabuloso e um tanto impressionante nas composições, mas falhou em manter a produção repetitiva de uma mistura de Folk com Alternative... Tornou o álbum sonolento, mas esse é o título dele, né? :)

Marika has captured what I can only describe as a welcoming, comforting gloom that is unique in every sense of the word. It seems there's always something new to find in each listen.
One of the highest points of this release without a doubt would have to be Hackman's melodic prowess. There's so much clever chromaticism and harmony across every track that drives the themes of this record

One of the highest points of this release without a doubt would have to be Hackman's melodic prowess. There's so much clever chromaticism and harmony across every track that drives the themes of this record home, along with sudden major/minor switches in the instrumentals that shouldn't work on paper but just feel soooo tremendous. There's beautiful string arrangements accompanying several tracks and what percussion is thrown in sounds like it's produced to be in its own little world, overblown, but faint.

This continues to be one of the most thought-provoking releases I've had the pleasure of hearing. Marika Hackman, without question, knows what she is doing.

The result is a measured, wonderfully arranged, but emotionally singular album, tackling very personal feelings of doubt, pain and insecurity in a way that's easy to feel, but difficult to truly connect with.

    [A] coolly unnerving full-length debut. [Apr 2015, p.102]

[An] atmospheric and generally likeable debut LP. [Mar 2015, p.76]
