    To begin with, Fantastic Negrito‘s new album, “White Jesus Black Problems”, is a fascinating mix of styles. Here, Rock meets Soul meets Blues and the early 70s. The album’s first track “Venomous Dogma” gives you the impression (wow!) that Paul McCartney‘s wings are back again and are now playing some sort of jazzy rock music and somehow you hear John Lennon singing in the background.To begin with, Fantastic Negrito‘s new album, “White Jesus Black Problems”, is a fascinating mix of styles. Here, Rock meets Soul meets Blues and the early 70s. The album’s first track “Venomous Dogma” gives you the impression (wow!) that Paul McCartney‘s wings are back again and are now playing some sort of jazzy rock music and somehow you hear John Lennon singing in the background.
    Nibbadip reminds you of the high times of Tina Turner and her abusive hubby. The parents of the beautiful song “Oh Betty” could have been Golden Earring’s “Radar Love” and Canned Heat’s “On the Road again” - I simply love the keyboards here. “Trudoo” is a fast tune that catches your attention with a pumping bass and a super cool rhythm guitar like in the 70s.
    “Virginia Soil” starts with a laid back slide guitar and then the chorus line keeps repeating “ freedom will come“ like a spell - and finishes with a banjo and an organ that reminds you of Billy Preston‘s instrument when he helped out theń Beatles in the studio.

    Each song on this album is a masterpiece and makes you curious which song will follow next. You never get bored and want to skip a song, because you don’t like it. In short: “WJBP” is an excellent album, a masterpiece!    … Expand
