    Wolfmother presents music that admittedly pays homage to the great heavy metal acts of the 1970's (Read: Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, Wolfmother presents music that admittedly pays homage to the great heavy metal acts of the 1970's (Read: Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, etc.). While the band does not get many points for originality, it does what it does with enough guts and bravado to make up for wearing their influences on their sleeves. ...And no, Matty Rue Morgue, they are not a White Stripes rip off. While Andrew Stockdale has a bit of a shrieking quality to his voice, he doesn't turn himself into Jack White. And besides, Wolfmother doesn't beat blues standards to death. Also, they use more than two chord progressions. (Btw, I actually do like the white stripes and quite a lot in fact. They're just a completely different animal.)… Expand
