After a slight misstep with Audio, Visual Disco, they’ve only gone and created a masterpiece with Woman.

Woman is a joyous album of hope and optimism.

Woman is a really good record and an accomplished, confident body of work, but it may leave those hankering for something with more venom feeling a little impatient.

Gaspard Auge and Xavier de Rosnay balance their belligerent side with a refined, progressive sensibility, a side increasingly foregrounded on Woman. [Dec 2016, p.30]

Woman does provide Justice’s most human sound to date, if you will. That sound is made particularly clear by including more singing and lyrics than they’ve been known to do. Despite so many tracks feeling substantially longer than called for, Justice presents new ideas and a sound fuller here.

The price to pay for Woman’s increased musicality is, perhaps, a drop in beat punishment. But you can’t begrudge Justice this laudable attempt to one-up Daft Punk’s Random Access Memories.
  7. 50
An underwhelming record. Kitschy 70’s synths and live drums abound throughout. The lyrics and vocals continue to distract from the true draw of the production.

It's as if Justice travelled back in time to the 70;s and 80's with current technology, and made a hit record. It's refreshing to see that Justice aren't only pushing their own boundaries and sort of straying away from their previous work, but are also moving away from what is now a quite stale world of pop electronic music. The melodies are addictive, and even though some might find the lyrics cringy or even soppy, I think they help capture the care free feeling of love that is woven throughout this album. The grooves never stop, and so the fun doesn't either. The album finishes on a hopeful track, that sends you on your way to spread the love you've just been given by Justice. 9/10. Expand

Love SOS is not very good, and Pleasure is quite forgettable as well, but aside from that, this is too much fun to criticise. Sure, the lyricsLove SOS is not very good, and Pleasure is quite forgettable as well, but aside from that, this is too much fun to criticise. Sure, the lyrics are a tad bland, and all of this isn't particularly new or inventive, but I'd be lying if I said that that actually bothers me. Expand

Awesome fresh tunes, that only Justice could pull out. The album's main weakness is that it's stuck between the genres, and even though IAwesome fresh tunes, that only Justice could pull out. The album's main weakness is that it's stuck between the genres, and even though I appreciate duo's usual aspiration to innovate, the album isn't good enough to not to suffer from it, sometimes taking the worst of all worlds. Still, overall the album is really likable, especially for a Justice fan. Collapse

This soars above their previous albumOn the border of cheesy and serious; right where Justice belongs and right where they've always been. This soars above their previous album Audio Video Disco. It's feel good dance music for a more mature audience than that of their debut Cross. Surely not as hard hitting as their early days, they've opted for a gentler but just as inspiring sound. 8/10 Expand

The album is terrible and there isn't any moment I feel energized by any music in it. It looks like the album is not even mastered. ToThe album is terrible and there isn't any moment I feel energized by any music in it. It looks like the album is not even mastered. To understand what I'm saying listen to any music in Cross (their first album) and you will realize that your ears explode (in a good way). Now listen to any music in Woman. Isn't it a turn off?
This album is nothing compared to Cross.
